Isn't there a chat?
The best way to generate discussion if you are bored is to read and comment on someone else's setting.
Hey, folks. What's new?
i EMERGE FROM MY SALES-IMPOSED EXILE...
My cats in heat and my neighbor is mowing the lawn in February. I also ate a cuban panini for lunch. Whats your favorite color?
So I am doing a massive mythology project on the wiki, tryin' to make it easy to navigate, tryin' to make it look nice, etc. So I've been around the site a bunch lately to work on that, but haven't been very vocal. That's not ideal ('cause I like talkin')

Do we really need another delete this thread please?
Well, I was hoping this would pull some lurkers out of hiding, but I guess not. Ah well. This works, too!
I have emerged from my pond, at least partially. I peek tentatively onto land. What happened to that thread to elicit some brief comments on specific things in campaigns? I might be down for some of that.
Art's been eating my time. My system project's on the back burner in a big way, but I still poke my head in now and again. But I'm like five pages into writing/inking (with a friend on pencils) a new tragic sci fi webcomic thing. Maybe I could post world building aspects of that here in a bit? It sort of recycles from beejazz's sci fi theater or whatever I called my sci fi setting. Oh, and I'm moving into a new apartment so... there's that I guess.
RPG inspiration's running low, as I haven't played in too damn long, but if people need art, I could maybe do a bit of that.

Kick ass avatar. I really like the Champloo series.
And if you are volunteering, I might have artwork for you. :)

Hey, wait. Was it you that was going to do some art for Fiendspawn? Or do I just have mistaken identity?
I like scotch.

I am
fairly certain I made that thread, but I'll be damned if I can find it anymore.
[blockquote=Leetz]I like scotch. [/blockquote] I'm a cognac man myself. Or brandy, brandy is good. Also sherry, port, any fortified wine really.
Port is great. I've spent a lot of time in Latin America, so tequila and rum hold a sincere, if blurry, place in my heart.
I went to a quinceanera in Mexico once and our table of 12-odd people destroyed about 6 bottles of top-shelf brandy. That's my brandy story.
I'm a Margarita man myself, though I do like a... I can't remember its name but its Jameson Irish Whiskey mixed with Canada Dry. It doesn't sound good until you try it.
I drink wine
I need art.
I am working on seating positions in different cultures of Celtricia, and other table/social manners.
I like wine.
Did I say that?
You know I've actually been thinking of reviving a particular thread on here. It was the first thread I ever posted in on the site. Namely the "create a city" thread that went so well. It's still around here somewhere, waiting to be pulled back into the open.

it's called a Presbyterian. whiskey and ginger ale.
is it a bad thing I knew that
immediately?
and they are deeeeeelicious.
Pending nuptials are taking up all my time. I will be starting a new game starring a bunch of demigods, so I'll be sharing things for D&D 4E that I come up with.

Totally agreed
Now this might sound "bleh", but then again, try it before you judge it;
Southern Comfort with Canada Dry (ginger ale I guess?)
It backstabs, watch out.
I'll be honest, I just enjoy getting buzzed every once in a while. What I drink doesn't really matter to me*, but wine has always resonated with me more. Call me what you will, but I prefer the altered state of mind.
Of course, I'm also a proud lightweight. If I feel the need to get a little loose then I don't have to pay much. It's a great luxury. It just takes some careful moderation to keep it that way.
*I take that back. I have yet to discover a beer I enjoy.
Anyways... I'm just preoccupied by my classes mostly. I've had ideas bouncing around, questions I'd like to ask, things I'd like to throw out there, but between painting and family therapy courses, it's been a little hard to get too committed to anything outside of the school spectrum. In due time... in due time...
I've been a mix of lethargic, uninspired, and dealing with a computer that was quickly decaying. Now I have a new computer!
If we're talking about drinks, I am a fan of Baileys always, and of coconut rums, such as Malibu, Parrot Bay, and Baccardi
I like beer, cider, red wine, scotch or absinthe, depending on the occasion.
And I have no real excuses for not posting more setting stuff. It's all up in my head, just need to yank it out and put it in writing :)
One day soon, I'll do just that.

That's right. It's been so long. What specifically did you want me to do? I remember doing some things for folks a while back (a pig man, tree mantis, and starfishy tentacly thing) but I guess that wasn't fiendspawn.
EDIT: I'd be happy to do some stuff for you too Vreeg, or anybody else that wants it.
Derp.

I am doing class-related work, playing Civ4, and am a huge fan of Labatt Blue.
Haha Blue,
Not too bad. At least doesn't empty your pocketchange. (or your bank account if your a heavy drinker)

I'm pretty sure you were working on a myconid. I could be mistaken, though. As you said, it's been awhile.

Huh... I know I at least drew the myconid... did I forget to scan and post? I'll dig it up and try and post some time this weekendish then.
Sounds good to me!
So beejazz what would it take for me to get you to draw me a few things? :D
Quote from: NomadicSo beejazz what would it take for me to get you to draw me a few things? :D
A PM, a description of what you want drawn, a little time, your immortal soul. The usual.

Awesome, though my soul isn't worth much... inflation rates and all that
I'm on new medication (apparently its not schizophrenia but something to do with the temporal lobe) and its working wonders.
So now I've run out of excuses.
Time to get postinggg!
ALSO: can you put souls on layby/layaway (depending on your country of residence)

I'm actually kind of curious how this might effect your writing, if it does. Either way, I'm glad to hear that it's helping.
That's what I'm worried about. Pretty much everything posted on the CBG was influenced by my condition. Will I have anything to write about once I'm sound and sane?!?
Even if you now write like a sober metallica, I'm just glad that you're not locking your SO in a closet for the weekend, or shaving off all of your body hair (including head and eyebrows), or devouring an excessive amount of porkchops in front of the television.

That's what I was thinking...My writing is certainly afected by my moods and perceptions...talent should still be there, though, and we have faith in your talent, SA.

I can only speak from experience with mood disorders to say that it might or it might not. I've never really noticed a difference when I was on medication for depression, but then again, I never thought the medication did much for me anyway. Now that I'm "cured" (read: I know how to deal with it) and off medication, I still don't really notice a difference.
I have a friend who suffers from depression and his desire to be creative increased after he started taking meds for it. Personally, the only real change I noticed content-wise post-meds was that it tended to be less morbid.

Haha!
NEW CBG Challenge:
Write the happiest most frickin' jolly sunshine(complete with care-bare knock-offs) unicorn gum drop jolly rancher setting you can think of.
Criteria: No zombies, dying earth syndrome, tortured arcane users, or fiendish demons with revenge on their minds.
Good luck.

My Care-Bear knock-offs are multicultural and good for the environment because they're made of magic pixie stix! and they fly around in... the default Windows XP background (http://www.chat-4-free.co.uk/images/image12265997.jpg) when you're not looking! The french one is blue and only three apples high.
and i thought the city of parrot bay would be that setting... a setting of drunken pirates fighting anime ninjas :D
