It has come to certain peoples' attention that some of the Guild members here like to 'swap reviews.' Constantly, we are seeing someone post in the Tavern, 'I just added xxxxxx to my yyyyyy campaign, and would like a review.' Soon after, someone else comes along and says, 'I'll review your xxxxxx in your yyyyyy campaign if you'll take a look at my zzzzzz." This is fine. We have no problem with it. In fact, it's an excellent idea. Reviews are slack around here. Some people are really, really trying to get them done, some people just simply don't care, and some people in the middle (such as myself) would love to read and review every single campaign here, but just don't have the time. So this thread is now open for 'Review Swaps.' If you would like something in particular reviewed in your setting, just post here. If someone else wants something reviewed in their setting, he/she can tell you, 'Hey Jimmy John, I'll review your new 'Planes of Unending Retail Hell Campaign' if you'll review my 'Esoteric-and-Strangely-Erotic Homebrew.' That way, you both win. Not to mention, with Reviewin' Season! in full swing right now, this is an excellent to 'rack up points.'
This will also be the first Purging Thread we have here. The mods will be watching the thread, and once your request is answered, or two weeks pass, we'll purge those posts, so we can keep the most recent unanswered requests on top.
Keep in mind guys, this will only work if everyone participates fairly. If you request a review, you need to offer your services as well, or other people will get ticked, and no one will want to look at your setting(s) anymore.
That's it. Cheers!

Review Request Queue - Updated 10:50 PM, 2007.08.09
Adveria (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?15955), or even just Delkun (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?26037), for Poseidon
Aardvar-Dilandri (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?24254), for Stargate
Avayevnon: A World Reborn (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?23221.last), for Seraphine_Harmonium
Chiaros (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?27713.post), for Bill Volk
Marit (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?28527) or Five Realms (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?29764) for Ravenspath
This is simply a list of the requests, and not an up-to-date list of who's reviewing whom. Please post in this thread if your setting has been reviewed and/or you would like to remove it from queue.
So the way I'll probably do this is, every day or so, I'll check to see if any new requests have been added, and I'll put them in a "queue" up top (in order of request). If you review someone's request, please state that somewhere in the thread so I'll know to take it out of the queue.
Also, if you request a review, please put the name of your campaign, as well as a link to its thread, in your request. I unfortunately won't have time to hunt down every single one.
Thread updated and purged. Cheers!
I'd appreciate a review from you. My campaign is called New Edom and here is the link. http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?24252
With the Tavern becoming the "please review xxxxxx" that it had been when this thread was created and in honor of Reviewin' Season; I am going to use one of my many awesome powers (the same power I will be using on a another thread in due time).
THREADSURRECTION!
Now down to business.
I will be willing to trade an overall review of a setting* or a more in depth review of a specific section for a review of Adveria (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?15955) or even just one of its nations, preferably Delkun (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?26037).
Ishmayl if this thread stays active for a week or so, can we get a clean up of the first post. If I had the power I would have done it... :P
* Overall review will be more than just "Good work keep it up", but I will not promise as much as with a specific section.

SOLD! I'd like you to take a gander at Dilandri (link is the badge in my sig). I'll get that review of yours up tonight or tomorrow.
Yes, I'll give this thread a clean-up tomorrow
I guess I could give New Edom a once-over. I guess I owe you that anyway since you've reviewed Avayevnon. If you'd like to look at something there though, I'd welcome it.
Aye, will reciprocate with a review (or at least a section if yours is huge) anyone who reviews mine (bigger than a 'it's great' please).
My setting is no where near complete, but I would be happy to review anyone's campaign setting for an IOU to look at mine when it is done.
My setting (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?27713.post) is still sort of being pieced together, too, so I'll take Sirius up on his offer. I'd especially like advice for what to add to get players more involved, as I'm afraid it could turn into a vehicle for DM-wanks.
So, let me know what you think and where/when I can see your setting!

ok i'll take a look.
Thread cleaned and updated
I am curious as to which of these review requests have already been paired off and dealt with, and which review requests still need to be looked at. Some of these posts appear to be addressing people whose posts were purged (or maybe I just can't interpret this correctly?)
Anyway, I'm looking for something to read. What's free?
My setting's always open, and I'll do my best to reciprocate with a review.

well you have given me a review of my still in progress setting, i'll give yours a look if you want?
LC, all the stuff up top at the moment are requests that have been made over the last few days.

You don't even have to ask. It's not like my setting is an exclusive country club or anything.

Consider it done!
Woo!
*adds LC's and Sirius's settings to the list of reviews to be done*
You should start alphebetically. :P
PLease note I've changed the name of my setting to Aardvar-Dilandri. Thank you. ;)
I have a question for Sirius: Is there a link where we can see the setting you have in progress? I can't find anything in your sig or your posts.
Also, I greatly appreciate the reviews made for The Overture so far, and they've helped me get an idea for what updates to make to it next. Anyone else who wants to review it, feel free to let fly and give me a link to your own setting.
Yeah, finally RL has settled down and I have some time to get back into the CBG! I love this idea and would love to have some further feedback on either of my two worlds.

I am going to start at the top of the current list and try to work my way down.
Updated. Have I missed anyone?

I'll tentatively second this notion (my campaign setting needs some work), provided I have time to do so. I can only do so much, haha.
[ic=LordVreeg ... Eclipse ... Wensleydale]You've given me some helpful feedback in my Unfinished World thread, so I owe each of you reviews when next I have the time.
Feel free to post here to let me (and other Review Swapping readers) know if you have any projects that need feedback.[/ic]
Stargate's Aardvar-Dilandri has just been reviewed. If he asks questions about my review, I'll answer.
Ooh, yay, review swaps. Great idea, how long has this been extant? I'm sure I would have noticed before.
Anyway, if there's anything anyone wants reviewing in exchange for some feedack on Reth Jaleract, just let me know.
Here: http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?39727
Scwatch my back, I'll scwatch yours. K?
With the powers of the Old Ones, through my necromancy, I revive this thread!
So, in light of what's been going on lately with the guild, and also in light of certain suggestions, I saw fit that this thread should be brought back to people's attention.
I'll start things off by offering a review in exchange for a review on either Avayevnon, or my new thread, Tinkering with Steampunk.
Avayevnon has two pertinent threads, the links to which can be found in my sig below. Tinkering with Steampunk can be found here (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?57262.0).
For those of you who haven't seen Xiluh in awhile, I'll offer some review swaps for that.
Seraphine, when was the last time you took a peek at Xiluh? I already gave some comments on Steampunk, and thought maybe those could count toward a review swap. If you'd rather not count those, I can keep a continued eye on it, and give more of a review as you develop it further.
I'm already getting a huge amount of feedback for Knife's Edge, at least, relative to the amount of material I've posted... But, I'll happily review-swap with anyone, as long as they accept the fact that if I think their work's good, Ill be hard pressed to come up with more than a "well done" and if I don't, I might be a liiiiitle bit harsh in my criticism, without entirely meaning to be.
Kindling feel free to take a look at anything I've done, I know there's a link to one of my settings in my sig. I have no problems with you being harsh at all.
I'll try and post something in Knife's Edge soon, probably after work. I believe I posted something in Reth Jaleract not too long ago.

I've taken a peek once or twice, but it's been a while. I also don't think I've ever done any kind of review. Now, on the one hand, I WAS kind of hoping that this would bring about NEW reviews (as far as My settings are concerned). That said, reciprocation in general is just polite, so I will make sure to get you some input in the next couple days.
New reviews are perfectly fine, but it may need to develop a bit more before I can add new comments while still being substantial. It would be a tad unfair if I forced strings on the reviews I've already given you.
I now have a Review Badge set up, anyone who posts in my Divergence thread is welcome to take one, and I will make a point to post in your thread as well (if I haven't already, if I have I'll see what other things I can notice/ponder on)
I notice this hasn't been updated in several years, so I'm not sure anyone still looks at it. However, would someone like a review of their material in return for reviewing my campaign: Teleleli. Or, The City Never Dies, It Just Smells That Way (http://thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?78477)?
I ain't a real fan of review swapping (only because I'm an unreliable bastard) but I've left a few comments (http://thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?78477.0#post_78646) for you, to kickstart stuff.
While I think this is still done to some extent, informally, this thread may not be a bad thing to revive.
I'm with Salacious Angel, though, I can can be a little unreliable in such things.
I'll jump in on this. I have been doing a lot of work on my races and have been lacking the feedback I had hoped for give me a thorough review and I'll help you however I can.
Races of Three Worlds (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?77755.last)
Thanks Xeviat, I'll get on it and reply in that thread.
What did you want me to go over?
Is this thing still active? My work in progress does need some opinions.
@Teh_Az: leave a link and I'll look at it. The link to my setting is above.

Thanks - I'll leave comments in the relevant thread.
It's been awhile since I've posted in here, but I'd like to remind people that Xiluh (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?6413) is still up for some review swapping.

Might take you up on that later once I start working on Mare Eternus again... that will have to wait till this summer when I'm out of school.

I can wait, just be sure to remind me.
@Rorschach Fritos: I'll put some feedback in your thread. Please have a look at mine: Teleleli (http://thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?78477).
