I as many if not all of you have had that "Epic RPG Movie" idea. You know that movie that you wish the DnD movies where (tho the 2nd one is atleast paletable). LOTR esq more classic RPG. Well I thought of maybe starting a side game/collaboration as to who you think would be the perfect cast for the main roles. My version of "The most Epic RPG Movie EVER!" had a group of old retired adventurers comming together for one last adventure with flashbacks to when they where younger adventuring together. Eventually you would discover the secret betryal or whatever that set the group apart to begin with. Anyways this allows there two be TWO casts one of younger actors and one of old actors. Or actresses!
Here are my Ides so far, add your own.
Party:
Comic relief Gnome - Robin Williams
Elven Wizard that still looks young - Mat Damon
Old Shyster/Thief/Assasin - Jeremy Irons
past his prome Paladin/Knight - Sam Elliot
Cleric/Priest - George Carlin R.I.P
Bard - Judi Dench
Lil'Hobyt "darling" of the group - Winona Ryder
Berzerker/Barbarian - Michael Clark Duncan
Drunk Dwarf - Bruce Willis
Morgan Freeman could be cool too...
Its not about best Actor but to get two or three good actors for each "role"... and to say "Ohh i didnt think of him..." or "Ya she would be great too!"
Priest - Mel Gibson
Paladin (Dark Knight) - Bruce Campbell
Bard/Spy - Mike Myers
Barbarian - Arnold S. (seriously... he fills this role pretty well)
Rogue - Jackass dwarf
Bard - Old Spice Guy
Antihero Necromancer: Benedict Cumberbatch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8gqhTlUnCg)
I'm pretty sure Benedict Cumberbatch owns my soul.
EDIT: Sean Bean as any kind of badass veteran. Or basically, just Sean Bean as Richard Sharpe, only... fantasy. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wV8sKBQqA8 from about 5.30 onwards... "What're you doing coming on a battlefield with your buttons not done up?"
