Alright, first pseudo-session went off without a hitch! We discussed some minor mechanics, nailed down some character relations and tweaked some backstories, and get everyone a few steps closer to finishing (if they already hadn't) their characters.
So far, the roster looks like:
Kowa, the Human Ninja, played by MagnusPym.
Yamhata, the Half-Orc Samurai and faithful companion to Kowa, played by OmegaLimit.
Finn, the downtrodden Human Bard, played by Second_Sunrise.
Kalidas, the Kassari (tiger person) Oracle of the Heavens, played by SyrVulcan (name to be determined).
Cervus Alces, the Minotaur Sorcerer, played by Llum.
The very first session will take place next wednesday from 8pm-10pm EST. It should be loads of fun!

Pym, just one question: when you list skills, what are you putting in the parenthesis? Normally, the number of ranks would just go in there, and the total bonus would go on the outside. For instance -
Since you're only level 1, you can only place a single rank in any skill, and as I recall you have 11 skill points to spend (9 from class + Int, 1 from human, 1 from favored class), which it looks like you've done. I just want to make sure you understand the bonuses coming from them; it looks like you put the rank plus the ability modifier in parenthesis. I'm sure you know this, but don't forget the +3 bonus you get from having a rank in a class skill! And it looks like you already took into account the bonuses from the Stealthy feat, so besides that, it looks awesome. I just want to make sure you have the total bonus figured out so you can rock out with that +10 stealth. :P
Llum, the only minor error on yours is that secondary attacks (I.E., your claws) should deal 1/2 Strength modifier damage, while your gore should deal an additional 1/2 Strength modifier damage. So basically, they should look like this: 1d6+6, 1d4+2, 1d4+2.
Ah ic, the Draconic power says +STR mod so I'd just left it at that.

EDIT: Llum, for now, I think you're right. I'll have to get in touch with Matt (Finn), since he knows this stuff like the back of his hand. I would keep the full Str bonus for claws, but add the additional 1/2 to gore. I'll have a definitive answer by the session on Wednesday.

Honestly, as long as you know your bonus, you can do whatever you want. The purpose of this is mostly for me to make sure that numbers are accurate and all that jazz.
Turns out, Llum, I was just thinking too hard; I've checked my sources and contacted Matt, and you had it right the first time :P. +4 damage to all of them, no +1/2 or -1/2.

Which brings up a question for you: Pym, would you prefer Kowa be entirely absent for whatever reason (we can figure it out later, if you want) from the first session, or would you rather he be there and played to the best of, err, my ability? As a DM, I wouldn't do anything rash and would be very conservative with your character, so he'd be there physically, but I'll probably dial back any role play so I don't end up messing up your character's persona or something. Or, we could just go on without you and when you decide to join back in, we can say you've always been there, or whatever.

Man, talk about hard work. Steerpike, Vreeg, any other IRC GMs I don't know about, I tip my hat to you guys. We all gotta start somewhere, right?
Anyways, despite some minor hiccups, the game went and people had fun! Hopefully we can really get things moving next session.
This was my first experience with the CBG community and at an IRC (or computer PnP-style) session. I liked it.
There is a bit of confusion sometimes, but I guess it can't be helped on an IRC game.
The vision I had of the game yesterday was pretty intense too; A minotaur which summons forth a great claw and rips people apart. A ninja hiding amidst the trees and shadows, under heavy rain, throwing shurikens that slice peoples throat! A refrigirator-built swordsman who inspires fear in his opponents hearts and a sleepng beauty that charges at evil-doers, instantly falling back in a deep slumber after the deed is done.
Thanks Pym, it means a lot to me that I could deliver a satisfying experience for your first excursion into IRC!
Definitely more confusion than I originally thought there would be, but I think we worked past that pretty well. I should be able to clear that up in future preparations.

Weave asked me to make an account on here a while back before talk of this IRC campaign came up and apparently I set up my account to be called DM(Matt)? I'll fix that soon, it wasn't intentional :).
It's even worse now Weave. I have been infected with a nasty virus and it spread to all the computers on the network, meaning I can no longer use the internet on a computer at home. I'm in luck I got myself Xbox LIVE, but this doesn't allow me to get on IRC.
I'm at a friend house right now trying to figure something out with my computers... or his, but it's safe to say that my absence might be... stretched farther than I thought it would. Let's hope not.
I hate to say this already (and for two different games -_-), but if the game stays at the same time I won't be able to play as of May 4th, due to a class I'll be taking. Just thought you should know, I'll of course be playing until then, though!

I have to say I'm going to be somewhat distracted since its the "Debat des Chefs" on National TV, it concerns the coming elections.
That's okay, Pym. It looks like it'll be pretty light: You, Finn, and Kalidus will be there for the next session. Llum will be absent for this one and the next due to classes, Omega will also be busy with an exam but might make it for the tail end of it, and TMG is sadly dropping the campaign due to upcoming academic activities.
I'm going to try and keep things light story-wise so as not to overwhelm anyone who is missing the session, but I have plenty of fun things planned :).

Session 3 down! Lots of combat! Yamhata had terrible luck with iso while Finn stole the show with the rolls of a god. Cervus nearly went unconscious, but pulled through with the help of Kalidas while tearing apart some hounds. Kowa made some excellent dagger throws and shuriken snipes. Yamhata did manage to send the next wave of enemies fleeing in fear, so all was well.
So I have problems with the internet at home; I was ready about 30 minutes before session, but the internet failed. Still having problems I'll let you guys know as soon as I get my hand on more info.
On another note, we lost to Boston in the playoffs, damn you Bostonians.

I trust you all to take whatever you roll for HP and jot it down (no cheating, please!), or you can wait to roll it in front of me before the session starts. If anyone has forgotten, the formula works like this:
For a d10 hit die, roll 1d5 (half the hit die as a random variable) + 5 (the other half as a static variable) + Constitution modifier. For a d8, it would be 1d4 + 4 + Con mod. Is that clear?
Also don't forget that you get a feat every level, and your favored class bonus. Enjoy! :)

I have some bad news, everyone, as I've been recently put into a situation similar to Llum's: I have a new job that's definitely going to interfere with the Avernus IRC game time. I don't have a lot of flexibility in the area of changing it, so I'm kind of stuck :(.
So, for the time being, it'll sadly be put on hiatus. I apologize for this recent development, but it's imperative that I take this job.
