Please give the reasons WHY you like that type of dragon, too. :p

Duh, have you seen the picture in Draconimicon?  The Chaos dragon looks awesome in that pic.

I'm a traditionalist.  I love the big, fire-breathing, cunning brutes.

Black dragons have all the style with those awesome horns, and they have a breath weapon that few things are resistant to.

I've also always been partial to swamp creatures.

I think this poll is unlikely to decide much, since at this point two votes would be enough to secure a crushing majority. ;)

man, i've never seen the pyroclastic dragon's entry, but wouldn't you hate to be woken up in your sleep by something called a pyroclastic dragon? i got no clue what that means, but it sounds positively horrific. hot stuff that clings? hot stuff that stretches? is it like a flaming, draconic, mr. fantastic?? :O

Indeed, but if we're adding dragons, then I'd say the steel dragon, from one of the monster columns at WoTC.  Maybe a mercury dragon...  both are better than the chaos dragon by a great margin.

I note also the lack of the epic dragons from the ELH.  

The pictures of these were pretty, at least.  And of course, in terms of raw power, they were off the scale.  Much like the rest of that book...

Waaaaay too many options there :) I went with silver, because they're pretty cool, but shadow, fang, deep, and oceanus are all good too.

Wow, I guess I was wrong.  We do have a (somewhat) clear winner.

I have to say, of the metallics, silver is by far my favorite.  (Gold was too much.  Silver is a nice even rival for Red.)

I'm going to go with Fang Dragon...I like their spiny appearance over all of the other dragons, and I think it's nice to have a dragon that really gets down and fights instead of flying around in circles breathing god-knows what. Plus they have long tails which give them a great reach for their size  8)

My VERY close 2nd would have to be Silver. While I hate how they have the itty-bitty hindlegs, I love how they can walk/sleep on clouds.  

Looks like I'm the only one showing love for the Styx dragon. Great dragon, IMO, and works very well if you alter the flavor for a standard sea-dragon type.

I'm honestly quite surprised that so much consensus could be generated in such a poll as this.

What's a Styx Dragon, anyway?

A Styx Dragon is a Dragon from Draconomicon which dwells in the River Styx. It resembles a Chinese Dragon without all the hair, has a fin running down the entire length of its body, two arms, and no legs.

that's a good idea, you should go post it in my "just imagine..." thread.  It was made for stuff like that.

White Dragons all the way. The other species are just too smart. I LIKE the idea of dumb-as-a-rock dragons who survive solely by being the most powerful creature in the region. But then again, I think we should take the ability to talk, spellcasting, and most of the spell like abilities away from dragons too.
I also happen to like the cold. We need another Ice Age.

I vote black dragon, cause they got style and wicked horns, but never seem to get any love.

close second is the fang dragon, cause even though he doesn't fly, he's so pointy.

mercury and steel dragons are cool too.

i don't know a few of those others though.

Not only does it make a kick ass familiar, but it also happens to be the only pseudo-thing that actually is the very thing that it is not supposed to be.

And a pity vote for the wyvern.  Poor, misbegotten wyvern;  100% dragon but 0% respect.
