Title: Creepy Halloween Goodness
Post by: Nomadic on October 21, 2011, 03:35:41 PM
Steerpike is offering some awesome game opportunities this halloween for those who are interested in taking part in the All-Hallows IRC: Spaceships, Sixguns, and Cylcopean Horrors (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209383.0.html)

Check it out :whoa:

Thanks for the plug, Nom!  I think we're going to have a pretty decent crew, and more players are welcome.  It might be a good chance for members who haven't played in IRC games before to give it a try (I don't know, are my games newbie-friendly?  My players can answer that better than I can).   Accessing the game is really easy - just click on the IRC tab at the top of the screen and type /join #celtricia (we've got a dicebot over there and can run things without interfering with the regular forum chat).

Hopefully it'll be fun.  It's sort of going to be a mash-up of Call of Cthulhu and Firefly - gunplay, horror, robots, swearing in the profane tongue of R'lyeh, facing down beings from the outer realms with nothing but a sixshooter, that sort of thing!

It's an all-day event with two sessions, the first starting at 12PM EDT and the second at 8PM EDT, with a break in the middle.  Drop-ins and latecomers are welcome.

I may have to stop in for the second one. I somehow ended up with that day off work.

I'd join, but my history does not lend itself to being able to play in any kind of online game without completely breaking the flow due to insane schedule - sounds like a blast, though. if I'm around, I'll poke my head in to watch for a bit, though.

I'm going to try hard to get enough notes done for a second session, but I may have bitten off a little more than I can chew.  If any of the other GMs out there have a hankering to run anything to share the load as it were, that might actually be of great assistance.  If not I'll try my best to get enough material for two sessions.

I'm really going to do my best to make it - what time is EDT when in CST? Is it actually on Halloween? And I should probably check out the thread before I ask more questions, shouldn't I?

Now that sparkle is doing the afternoon session, would anyone who can't make it to my Sixguns game like to play a session of it at a later date?  I'm still doing my morning session on Halloween, of course.

Yes. I have some vacation due  in december, so I should be able to make it to an afternoon session sometime then. :) Otherwise, sessions beginning after 6:45PM EST are usually good for me.
