First, I'm new here. Hi. Howya doin'?
I blog over at Rended Press: http://rendedpress.blogspot.com
Okay, now a request:
Does anyone know where I can find the pdfs of the CBGuide? The links on the wiki are dead. Google is no help at all.
I have a zine resource page at my blog (above) and I'd really love to include the old issues of the CBGuide. I'll even host them.
So, please, anyone?
Wait, we have a CBGuide?
If you aren't pulling my leg (which I hope you aren't), the wiki page is here:
http://www.thecbg.org/wiki/index.php/CBGuide
But the link to the issues are dead.
Old links were killed when we moved the site. Here you go:
-Suggestion Box (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,18899)
- Download links (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,27981)
EDIT: Hmm, the links to the actual downloads aren't working... Grr.
Yup. Seems the download directory was nuked.
I will look through the old archives and see what I can find. :)

As far as I can tell, its just the actual download links that are not working. I'm sure they're still in the system some where, we just need to find the URLs for them.
I've looked through the old backups and none of them have the guides. This leads me to suspect that they were removed before I even took over. As to the old files, none of those were moved over to the new system as it isn't compatible with how the old system handled files. I still have the old files in archive, but the archive does not include the guides for some reason. I'm sorry that we can't be more helpful :/
I have the September 2007 edition saved. I may have others, but that's the most accessible one.
I bet Elven Doritos would have them all.
He does not (I asked). I will see if I have any but I lost a hard drive a while ago. :/
I have the Spring 2008 Fantaseum. Oddly enough, nothing else. Swore I had all of them.
Hey guys (first post in 4.5 years woohoo)!
I actually have the first seven issues of the CBGuide on my hard drive. As far as I can tell, more than seven were made, but not much more. At any rate, the seven issues I have all date back to before the issue limetom mentions in the post above me.
Vlark, feel free to email me at turinthemormegil@gmail.com and I'll send you the PDFs.
Admins, also feel free to email me and I'll send you the PDFs as well to put back somewhere on the site (assuming this is deemed desirable).
(The email address is kept separate from my main deliberately, so please excuse a possibly long reply time.)

I searched Google by typing this in the search box:
site:thecbg.org filetype:pdf
It brought up bupkis. Even the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (archive.org) came up empty.
Still, it looks like Túrin is going to come through!
I wonder if Ishmayl might have some old PDFs of it around?

He might, but I haven't been able to get any response from him by email for a long time (not sure if he's changed emails or what). Anyhow thanks a ton Turin I sent you an email. To anyone else who has pieces of the guide please let me know, I'd like to put it back up on the site if possible
I now have all issues in my possession, including the issues from the switch to Fantaseum. The first issue of Fantaseum was a huge file (28 MB), so I re-saved the PDF and compressed the images, resulting in a 8MB file.
I've changed the file names to reflect the issue order, too.
I've posted all the issues on my Dropbox account, here:

Thank you sir. I'll see about making sure these are back up on thecbg again :)
Hey Vlark, thanks for tracking those down and welcome to the CBG!
Also you're totally welcome to put the CBGuide on your blog... if you could link back to the cbg in return that would be much appreciated.
Thanks! Are any more bound to be created, or has that gone away?
M.
That's great!

Wow, welcome back Turin. Can't believe it's been that long.
