Title: A PDF on ancient-like economy for RPG worlds
Post by: Ghostman on April 21, 2012, 09:35:27 AM
This article (http://draconianpress.net/ageoftreason/?p=224) about modeling an economy for a mundane/low-fantasy setting looks to be a useful worldbuilding resource. While it makes references to the Legend RPG, the information in it could be easily adapted for general conworlds inspired by classical antiquity.

Fantastic. The lower-end populations for the city-states in that will work really well for Neshoi holds and Grimdowner settlements in Dark Silver. Thanks for sharing.

Um.
I used to have a White Dwarf subscription, back in the day.
I enjoyed ther PDF, though for me it also illustrated (in negative space) the differences between a medieval setting and other, slightly higher tech/magic levels.

Reading it now.  There's a few like this floating around for the middle ages, looking to see what they do differently here.

I remember this one also being useful, though not for the ancient world:  http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=BEN3610
