Title: Greetings everyone
Post by: Tanthalasa on September 07, 2012, 06:28:36 PM
Hi everyone

first of all, Iwant to say interesting site, I looking forward to read it through... but right now, I have some questions for some stuff I found on CBG Wiki, the ultimate classes, I know that the person, who created them doesn't play anymore. But till the classes are pretty cool, but I do miss something, the spell lists for the classes, there is a link in text, but not going anywhere.

I really hope, that someone can help me, else I will try to work something out, but if someone either know the spell lists or have a link for them, that would be a lot helpful.

and sorry, if I have put this topic wrong, but not sure were to put it.

Kim

Hey tanthalasa, welcome to the cbg! :)

Could you perhaps link me to the page in question that has the broken spells list link? Having said that though I think that the ultimate classes just use the 3.5e spell lists which you can find on The SRD (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/resources/systems/pennpaper/dnd35/soveliorsage/home.html) under the spell list section on the left side.

Hi Nomadic

there is a few of them, who from the description, use their own spell list, The prodegy, The Scourge, The Magus, and The Vortex, I guess that the Prodegy list probably would be close to Clerics, or some other divine caster, while the other three might use more Arcane spells from Wizard/sorceres list. but since they seems to have their own list, it would be nice to find them, if anyone knew them.

here is the links for the 4 classes, that I talk about

Well I gave my google-fu a little stretch and discovered a variety of fascinating things about the ultimate classes. Firstly, apparently the cbg is the most complete surviving archive of the ultimate classes stuff (the second most complete being an old archive I found of a guy's DM reference files for his campaign). Secondly other than said DM reference the stuff surviving outside the site is kind of scattered all over the place, I'm going to try to grab what I can find and put it on the wiki to help complete it. So far I've been able to find the spell list for the Ultimate Scourge which I have added to the wiki. Will keep looking and see if I can find the other three.

I also found the Ultimate Mentalist (http://antioch.snow-fall.com/~Endarire/DnD/Mentalist%207%2019%205.htm) and Ultimate Psycker (http://antioch.snow-fall.com/~Endarire/DnD/Psycker%208%206%205.htm) which I'll add later.

Update: Just found the spell list for Ultimate Prodigy which is now added as well as an archive with a number of Ultimate Classes we don't have (which I will be adding). Unfortunately I hit a brick wall on the spell lists for Vortex and Magus. However inside the archive I found the gmail email address for one of the ultimate classes wiki administrators from before it was shut down. I just send him (and one other guy I discovered) an email asking for any information they might have so that we can complete our archive of this.

Update update: Just found the magus list, it's up.

Update number three: Actually managed to find the vortex with some more looking so that means that we now have all of the spell lists you requested up! As an added bonus we will also have all the other stuff we were missing (mostly the ultimate evolution classes) which should make the cbg the only surviving complete record for the ultimate classes. So spread the word, people can once again find the complete ultimate classes. Though looking at the entries we'll still need some serious formatting and editing heh. I'm still gonna email the guy and make sure there's no further issues with us hosting this but hopefully that should be taken care of :)

Hi Nomadic

Oh my, well first of thank you so very very much, for the quick response and help, and sure I will spread the word about this great forum, with great administrators, and lovely stuff for RPG gamers.

Well I looking forward to see, what other great stuff, I can find in here, because the ultimate classes, really makes good stuff and great opportunities to make individual characters in dungeons and dragons 3.5...  :)
