New around here, first post and all. Referred here from another forum.
Been working on several settings, seeking feedback. (The usual, right?)
One question: the lad who sent me your way indicated that posting game system information was kosher. I wanted to make sure this was the case, before I started posting.
Why? I'm building my own little omni genre action-movie RPG, as a venue for presenting some settings of my own design, and I'd like some feedback on both.
If that's kosher. If not, I'll just talk about setting stuff. Let me know, if you would.
Anyways, hi!
Welcome. :)
Yes, we like crunch. One of our members has earned the monicker "Cap'n Crunch," after all. I'm also fairly fond of mathematical flights of fancy.
People post about their own game systems all the time, and you retain ownership of any content you post on the site. (Though obviously the means of distribution, when posted publicly online, are somewhat out of your control). There are several game mechanics junkies here that I'm sure will love to look at the crunchier part of your projects.
Welcome to the Guild!

Thanks, everybody. :) Good to be here.
What forum does game mechanical stuff go in?
GLAD TO SEE YOU HERE....
Warm welcome to the guild, Daddy Warpig!
I tend to put "crunchy" or mechanical stuff under "Meta" if it's intended as a system unattached to a specific setting and under "Campaign Elements and Design" if it's attached to a particular setting. I've also seen mechanical stuff posted under Homebrew, as well, though. We're generally not too persnickety about what goes where round here.

Unless I'm mistaken, he actually founded the CBG, didn't he?

Thanks for the info. Good to know.
Welcome.
Re: our founder- My recollection is that he was one of a group of founders on the old wizards' boards (before the Gleemax horridness); I believe he ran the official thread, however; then Ishmayl paid for the CBG site and the separate forum. I am sure that either he or Elven Doritos will be along to correct matters I have misstated.
And the first post is live: the Infinity Gaming System (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209810.0.html).
Here's to many (but not too many) more!
A brief tech note: Don't use quotes when using the bbcode tags here.

Some forum software requires them, but ours doesn't, so it causes your links to not work.

Thanks for the tip. Fixed, fixed, and fixed. (Yup, 3 messed up URL's in 2 hours. Impressive. :))
I have been summoned!
Yes, I founded the CBG over on the Wizards.community boards. Ishmayl took the initiative to start up these boards.
And of course, rules crunch is perfectly acceptable here. I second the notion of putting it in Meta unless it is intrinsically tied to a setting, but that's just my OCD.

Done and done! Thanks for the warm welcome.
Just realized I keep forgetting to post in these welcome threads, so welcome! enjoy the CBG. I'll be watching for your system to get to the gritty crunchy bits, but it's good to meet you!
