:yumm:
So while I am running a few live games, running SIG here, and looking at the Collegium Arcana game online for the future, I also have had a hankering to run an Old-School funnel stye game.
What does this mean? It is based on the older games where often, players made 2 or 3 characters, due to the expected mortality rate. And this was sort of in the fun, that you put together a bunch of characters (hopefully in a faster chargen system), and you ran them all at once. Often, the adventure was 1-3 sessions, and often was buil to lay the groundwork for a longer game, but not always. A group would often do this more than once for the same grouping of characters, especially when there was a High Killrate. For example, if you ran a 3x3 funnel (three players make three characters), and only 2 make it out the other side, (at late level 1 or maybe level 2) the group might do another 3x2 funnel+ the survivors.
SO before we get into specifics, please understand some of the goals. I am looking for this to be a high-mortality game. I want it to be a point of pride when PCs survive. I'm not talking about a meat-grind, but I want to be clear that the world and game will be a little harsh.
Steerpike and I have been talking about it, and this has solidified my resolve a bit. I may have no time, but, hell, this might be fun. And sleep is for pansies.
So...
I'm going to run a 3x3 or 4x3 funnel. Online. That means we are going to have 3 or 4 players running 3 characters.
To make this fun and satisfying and fast, we are going to use the Accis ruleset (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/31914263/FrontPage). This is a d20, class-based system, which is not normally how I roll (hah! It is to laugh!) but it works for this kind of game very well.
[ooc]"Accis is a Bronze Age, heroic mileau.
A world where prophecy defines the future of the world, and the gods are seen in every act of nature. It is a mysterious, fate-driven place where only the blood of heroes and the whim of destiny keep the light of civilization from being extinguished. Superstition is rampant, daily filth and dirt compete with occasional awe and amazement. The Sun, the Ocean, the Stars and the Night, all are examples of embodiments of ancient powers, and strange prophets declare garbled messages from hidden lairs. It is a strange, huge, scary world of Mythic proportion."[/ooc]
Bronze age, meaning that heroes and such are supposedly touched by the gods and by fate. Overacting is to be encouraged. (TMG played the best priest EVER). Fate can be blamed for everything, and the secret fear of most heroic warriors is that they are actually the antagonist in someone else's star-crossed tale.
I am thinking of 2-3 sessions. Maybe every other week. And we'll do chargen in a thread. So, I am looking for interest and what nights may work. This is a short term game, and I can do some Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, though I do travel.
I am so looking forward to dying a lot. As Vreeg said, I am in. I am going through something of an old school phase so this is right up my alley.
I am free during the day during most weekdays except Fridays and Thursday afternoons (Seraphine's game) though that could be worked around. I can do evening games as well, especially if there're a limited number of sessions. Weekends are a bit harder but not impossible.
The perks of grad school: an open schedule.
Looks like a simple enough character system. Are you going to have a character-generation session or are we expected to roll up a bunch on our own and post? Any guidelines for character creation or is it pretty much "roll 3-4 1st level characters"?

Ok...looking forward to dying? that is priceless.
Accis is very, very simple. I figure we will roll up characters on this here very thread.
Start here (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/32005385/Basic%20Attributes%20Rules). Basically roll 4d6, take the best 3 for each attrib in order for each character.
the you roll a d20 for race (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/34088634/Races%20-%20rules), and you can choose any result under your roll. Accis is a human world, so these are different cultural strains.
Then you choose a class (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/39916011/Classes%20and%20class%20rules). Accis only has basic classes at level one, subclasses exist, but they are only available as players advance.
There is a LOT of shorthand still here, so I'll be expecing to help a lot here. We'll also see what you are rolling for HP here.
Then we go check out circumstance checks (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/40595448/Circumstance%20Checks), which are used a lot. Starting money is also here.
Then we'll split up the HP (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/55051871/Hit%20Points%20and%20Recovering%20HP), which is simple, but should be read and understood. This is one thing that gives Accis it's 'feel'.
Then we buy Armor (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/40601197/Armor), Weapons (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/40595293/Weapons), and other stuff (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/40700776/Other%20items%20to%20purchase).
In buying armor, the function of protential protection needs to be understood. Basically, Accis is a low HP game, but armor has protential protection, and fighting men can use that protection a little bit at level 1, but it is also a class ability that improves. Also, armor has no affect on casting, but it does affect sneaking.
Weapons have Strength needed 1 and 2 handed (this is one place a high ST really helps a character's choices). Casters have to use weapons one handed.
Then, for casters, we choose theorems and prayers.
So yeah, if you want to roll up the characters, go nuts. I really trust everyone. No stress.
4d6, or 4d6, take the 3 highest, as the link indicates?

roll 2d6*10 for starting Dreccam
choose 6 point theorems (6 points of total cost) from the theorems page that are in your book of Theorems
Yeah, I thought about going Orator, but I like the idea of playing slightly against the mechanical/optimized grain and going for a "silver-tongued rogue" sort. Is this a dumb move, or a viable "build," so to speak? As I understand, our attributes still boost our skills no matter our class, correct?
I understand that there's no functional difference between a 7 and a 14; is there any way, once the game starts, to boost your attributes? XP, magic items...?

depends on the attrib if it has no effect. strength determines weapon choice, and how much armor you have and how much you carry. So it matters.
Many theorem's use the caster's INT in their effect, as well.
and rarely they can be increased.
The class choice, it's not a dumb move at all. But it will cost you 10% exp. as long as that is cool, it is viable, sure. plus, in OSR, there can never be enough people to scout, check for traps, and generally try to throw a spanner in the GMN's works.

still need one more, though I could do a 2x3 funnel, I'd rather a 3x3.
The Purple Forest (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/51051087/Purple%20Forest)....
The Purple Forest is an adventure for 5-12 beginning Accis characters, with the potential for multiple visits. This funnel is supposed to be one to three visits.
To the south of the forest is the town of Lochman, a small logging and trading stopover. Lochman only has some 50 or so inhabitants, a few trading posts and one inn and two taverns being much of the place.
When you said 2-3 sessions, did you mean in total? I might consider being a part of this if it was not going to be a long-term thing. I've got enough of those at the moment.
yep.
One of the things that is fun aboutr the funnel is the group is going to be dropped in the logging town of Lochman (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/64377830/Lochman%2C%20a%20Village), with some basics, and then we'll start right out . The purpsose is merely to get as far as possible before the group has to turn back with what they have learned and taken. Anything more than that we might talk about later, but the funnel is about one adventure.
Ok, I might be up for that.
S-H, want to roll your 3 characters?
Llum and Steerpike, can you arm your guys?
I have a hankering to get this started, for the sake of mayhem, if no other reason,
Added Lochman (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/64377830/Lochman%2C%20a%20Village), the logging village south of the Purple Forest. Small logging village. See Accis wiki.
Mayhem is for May. This is March, so I think you're looking forward to Madness.
LD, you should aid in the mayhem and madness.
Make a few Accis goons
I am continually working on this little adventure.
Been working on Lochman, the village above, making it the best place to start this off. Though we are NOT starting in a tavern...we are starting in the long-hut of Creel the Weathered, anddealing with his hints and half legends, as well as the simple solid fact that 2 of his logging bands are pure missing, and that another band came back savaged by a wold pack.
So I am free tonight, then not until Friday night. We'll see if this grinder gets run soon.
is this still up for a 4x3 funnel? if so i'm in (i already rolled the chars just in case)
I've been meaning to finish off my characters. A deadline would certainly help - any time-frame on this, Vreeg?
Indeed.
Things are interesting in my gaming world right now. But getting into work today and seeing emails from the two of you warms what passes for my ventricular system. And in OSR, a 4x3 funnel is fine and dandy, Basneti.
I will be on tonight and tomorrow night after 8:45 eastern. In April, I have Igbar on the 13th, Miston on the 20th, Limetom and I have decided to put SIG on Hiatus and get the Collegium Arcana (http://celtricia.pbworks.com/w/page/57010814/Collegium%20Arcana%20Stenron%20Campaign%20Arc) game going in Mid-April. I am travelling to NYC twice, Mid A once, and Back to friggin Vegas for work.
SO can we try to have character's pretty much finished by Monday night and maybe shoot for Wed or Thursday night at 8:45 eastern (after I put V to bed)?

Still trying to get a feel for Wed or Thur night.
Ned to make sure everyone has their money spent.
Shoot Vreeg, I am busy Tuesday/Wednesday nights this week. I may be able to swing Thursday.
Well, that answers that. Thursday shall be the day, and the day shall be Thursday.
Llum, btw, I forgot that level one orators can pay a hireling, if they want.
And am busy setting up tokens.,and need some names

We will 'meet' on #celtricia at 8:45 eastern.
I'll get the link for roll20.net from there.
Looks like we'll be runninG the 3x3 unless S-H suddenly bombs together three characters. And I am fine either way. Right now, we have 3 fighting men, 2 scholars, i priestess, one Orator, and one rogue. I like the mix.
We'll be starting in Lochman, above. More later
My presence my not be a guarantee. I will see how things work out but I may end up having to bail. If SH wants to take over for me, he's more than welcome!!
well, we will do what we can and must
More to clean up, but we played for over 2 hours in the first session. slowly fixing this up
LordVreeg (GM):SO it is evening, as the 6 of you enter into the forest town of Lochman
OK.
His hireling is name Maxamillian
A mongel
Plaes Holdir:LOL
Is he a mighty sage?
LordVreeg (GM):5 ST
he wears red robes
Plaes Holdir:ok, sweet, my guys are all good
Plaes Holdir:Oh, Vimy also has a donkey
named Saltlick
LordVreeg (GM):Maxamillian is aloof,
sure that he is denuri
Maxamillian has lost most of his nose in a childhood accident
and makes a hissing sound as he talks and laughs
and it is evening as the 7 of you come into town
LordVreeg (GM):The blue sky turning dark
as the eaves of the forest come close
wooden buildings on the left and right, as well as a fire far ahead, line the way
it is...a modest village, with dirt tracks passing for the roadway.
the 7 of you have passed some farm buildings, and some ruins on the way to this outrskirt
but as the evening starts in, you find yourself on the eaves of Lochman, and in the eaves of the forest, as well
LordVreeg (GM):water can be heard ahead
Max--"good thing we made it before nightfall...."
the 7 of you see villagers moving around, and there seems to be a semi-busy spot ahead, to the left
Plaes Holdir:Vimy: Let us find Creels camp and settle in for the evening.
LordVreeg (GM):Max, " sounds smart....."
ooc...there are a few woodmen, mongrels, going right to left, as well as a family walking the asme direction you are
the light of the houses is welcome, however
as the dark is full of strrangeness in this world
LordVreeg (GM):Max starts to move forward into the raod
as the light starts to fail
there are wagon tracks deep in this road
tripping you a bit
and there is a lit building left and front
and a more steady light, far ahead
Plaes Holdir:Triskel: Let's ask at the big light ahead if someone knows where we can find Creel
LordVreeg (GM):the darkness is always a fright, to all, in this world of gods and augers
Plaes Holdir:Vimy: The sooner we find camp the sooner we can get some sleep.
LordVreeg (GM):the group moves forward
and you pass a 2 storey building on your right
where many voices can be heard
in front of you, a wooden arched bridge
Bastien M.:Kael: anything to buy? we'll need suplies for tomorrow
LordVreeg (GM):and beyond, a huge bonfire
Max, " There be many buildings, so someone must want to sell..."
Plaes Holdir:Triskel: I don't need anything other than my armor and my poleaxe.
LordVreeg (GM):2 men with torches arfe walking towards you
in studded leather
Plaes Holdir:Vimy: Perhaps, Kael, do you require anything specific? Perhaps Creel will be able to supply us with goods.
LordVreeg (GM):max, hisses and laughs..."Food is nice"
LordVreeg (GM):the larger man walking towards you holds up a hand
Bastien M.:Keal: you seem really confident of yourself (to triskel)
(to vimy) that sounds better
LordVreeg (GM):"The Profound Man sees all!!! who art thou?"
they seem relaxed, and carry huge torches
Plaes Holdir:Triskel: I am Triskel of Ion! My axe has slain hundreds of beasts! Spiders the size of horses! We come to the aid of Creel the weather!
LordVreeg (GM):(much laughing and singing to the right)
Plaes Holdir: rolling d20
LordVreeg (GM):they seem slighly taken aback by your surety
the front one regains himself
"Creel's camp is to the left, along the Plank stream...second building."
Plaes Holdir:Vimy (to Kael): It seems our companion will make interesting company! Let us meet Creel and see what we require for his quest
LordVreeg (GM):(sounds of plates klanking and more singing from the right
Max.."Hiss....Yeeas.."
Bastien M.:Kael: well, let's see
LordVreeg (GM):the light has failed, and the woods to the north are taking on a frightening feel
'water below, and forest ahead
which way does the group go?
Bastien M.: Kael "Let us go find this Creel..."
LordVreeg (GM):a family can be seen straight ahead at the fire pit
Plaes Holdir:Triskel: Aye! Well said! *walks off towards Creels*
LordVreeg (GM):Kael turns left
Bastien M.:Cilla *sight*
LordVreeg (GM):the group moves ;eft. off the bridge, away from the torchlight
after passing some trees on the path, they see a building on the left in front of them
quiet, with a slight greenish glow from the insde. It is low, with wide windows on both sides of the door, and has curtains drawn.
Bastien M.:Rhiia: what's that glow??
LordVreeg (GM):Max.."something feels a bit weird
Plaes Holdir:Vimy: Perhaps we should avoid this place?
LordVreeg (GM):the building to the left, on the water, is low and long
Bastien M.:Rhiia: indeed, would Creel mind if we arrive a little later?
Plaes Holdir:Triskel: Fools, Triskel fears no glow!
LordVreeg (GM):beyond that building , voives can be heard,
laughing and yelling
voices
Bastien M.:Cilla: there should be the Creel's men
Rhiia: but i want to know....
Plaes Holdir:Triskel: Rhiia! We shall investigate the glow!
Bastien M.:Rhiia: it's something there.....
Plaes Holdir:Vimy: Perhaps we should follow along to make sure they don't get themselves killed?
LordVreeg (GM):ooc lol
Bastien M.:Kael, i don't oppose
Cilla: *sight* you're right
LordVreeg (GM):max...."uhhhTriske, you are bravery incarnate"
LordVreeg (GM):ooc marching order?
Bastien M.:ooc i think so
Plaes Holdir:Vimy (to Cilla): As long as we point Triskel in the right direction I'm sure we can handle it
LordVreeg (GM):max..." um.. Aye. Right."
Plaes Holdir:ooc: Triskel up front, Vimy middleish with Max. Sinjaid in the rear, silent as always.
LordVreeg (GM):more laughing ahead, and singing from behind
Bastien M.:ooc: Kael in front of cilla, rhiia at his side
LordVreeg (GM):the darkness is more complete, making the light more apparent
there are wooden steps up the the large, low hut
and a set of bronze bells
with symbols on them
Bastien M.:Rhia: *examines the bells*
Plaes Holdir:Vimy *pulls out a wooden holy symbol and hands Max a torch* Light this and watch the donkey Max
Thingsd look alittle less threatening as the light flares.

LordVreeg (GM):max, from behind
hisses
Triskel: Let us enter! *He moves up and knocks on the door with his poleaxe*
LordVreeg (GM):huge laughter ahead, to the right, from the camp area
BOOM BOOM!!!!
silence......
.......
,,,,
Bastien M.:Kael *pushes the door* hello?
LordVreeg (GM):then the thick door creaks open
and a small, dark haired, well robed woman peers out
(almost making Kael fall)
Bastien M.:Kael: wow!
LordVreeg (GM):she is very, very beautiful,
if maybe on the older side
" Look at you lot...."
Plaes Holdir:Triskel: Woman! What is the Glow that assaults our eyes!
LordVreeg (GM):She smiles
she swivels over to the huge man
"Glow? Glow? my arts use many lights, warrior. does your axe offend the eys of some?"
Plaes Holdir: rolling d20

LordVreeg (GM):here eyes are piercing, her raven hair thick
Llum:Vimy: What I believe our companion was saying is, we saw a strange green glow and came to enquire on what would cause such a thing.
LordVreeg (GM):her eyes move to Vimy, " Ah....yes. My arts. I apologize, my pursuits are scholarly..."
"And who might you all be?"
Bastien M.:Kael: we came here to aid on a quest
Llum:Triskel: I am Triskel of Ion my lady! Slayer of Spiders!
Vimy: I am a travelling Orator here to help Creel
Sinjaid: ...
LordVreeg (GM):the small lady turns to Kael...." Ah. There are many, old and new, that might lead one here. I assume the more recent one, with the Lumbermen?"
Bastien M.:with Creel, we were heading toward him when we saw the lights
LordVreeg (GM):she touches Triske's cheek, " Of course, brave man...your kind is needed..."
she nods to Kael
"his need is new, though there is much to this forest
Llum:Vimy: Do you have an insight into the quest Creel would charge us with?
LordVreeg (GM):"many secrets are buried there"
Llum:Triskel: Thank you my lady!
LordVreeg (GM):she nods
"Creel fears for his people, as he should...there wolves and the huntsman's folk are more active than any time in memory..."
Bastien M.:Kael: huntsman....
LordVreeg (GM):she smiles..." so much in the Purple Forest, children..."
she nods, " oooh, yes. He's a crafty one, and he seems to have the favor of the Huntress of the Moon"
Llum:Vimy: Ah, wolves and the huntsman's folk. Foes worthy of a quest! Perhaps you have a trinket that would aid us against them? Strictly to help the village
LordVreeg (GM):she looks up at Triske..." he'd see you as a threat, my pet. He's a tough one."
Bastien M.:Rhiia:*with a shy voice* i'm a schoolar too.... any advice in our quest
Llum:Triskel: I fear nothing! My axe will smite all challengers my lady!

LordVreeg (GM):she looks at Rhila as she rubs Triske's cheek..." such good memories I have of being like you...lady, I have a wagon of advice...but for now, let me give you this one theorem..."
Bastien M.:Rhiaa: *lets a smile run through her face*
Llum:*Triskel smiles happily*
(From Bastien M.): already got it, but ok
Bastien M.:rhiia *star writting something on a book*
Llum:Sinjaid: ...
(From Bastien M.): great!
LordVreeg (GM):"I am Amanite. Who art thou, this happy throng oustide my door?
Bastien M.:Rhiia my name is Rhiia, those are Kael and Cilla, friends of mine
Llum:Vimy: I am Vimy and our silent companion is Sinjaid.
LordVreeg (GM):she nods to all...:and this is my friend Triske, I know, my lion" she rubs his chin again
Llum:Vimy: My lady, if you would excuse us, we will take our friend Triskel and go to meet Creel.
LordVreeg (GM):she nods to you all. "I really am quite happy to meet you all. "
Bastien M.:Cilla: indeed
LordVreeg (GM):she nods." my parting thought...if you come back, find me..and do not trifle with the shrines of the Toothed ones..."
she turns and shuts the door
Llum:Vimy: Thank you for your wisdom! *he grabs Triskel and drags him away*
Bastien M.:Rhiia: thank you *while the door closes*
Rhiaa *with a smile on her face* let's go!!!
Llum:Vimy: Well it's a good thing the rest of us were around, or Triskel here would be waiting outside her door for the rest of his life.
LordVreeg (GM):the group moves away from the low bungalow
and in the darkness, walks towards the longer, higher loud building
Bastien M.:Cilla: (to Vimy) sorry if my friend becomes a nuisance from time to time
LordVreeg (GM):firelight comes from the windows
Llum:Vimy (to Cilla): I'm sure they can't be worse than Triskel, the oaf doesn't know fear or the sense that comes with it
LordVreeg (GM):ooc to all 30 exp for the Amanite encounter
Llum:ooc: sweet
LordVreeg (GM):in front of the group, on a porch, is a squat man with a snall axe
" heh....what be ye looking for" he is a dennite, with a mean look
Bastien M.:Cilla we're here to aid on a quest for Creel
LordVreeg (GM):he is mainly in shadow, with the firelight behind him
Llum:Vimy: We are here to see Creel, he sent word for heroes to aid him.

Bastien M.:Kael...would you be so kind of letting us pass?
LordVreeg (GM):he smiles at the group..."well, my brethren need your help"
" pleased be i to let you past."
and he stands and opens the door rto a raucous scene
7 men and 5 women in leather armor watch 2 young ladies dance lasciviously
as a large, squat man near a fire drinks a huge flagon
LordVreeg (GM):the room smells of smoke and fire and meat and sweat
the circle of folk hoots and stamps
Bastien M.:Rhiia *blush*
LordVreeg (GM):on the far right, a young man prepares a tray of slived meats
Llum:Triskel: Creel! We are here to aid you! What is your quest!
LordVreeg (GM):from beyond the fray, the squat man yells, "shut the door, or trhe Profound Man will come in!"
Bastien M.:Kael: this guys knows how to feast (to himself)
LordVreeg (GM):the room hoots and hollers more
and someone yells to Triskel, " Ah, that guy is a hero in the making!!"
Llum:Triskel: A hero already! I am Triskel of Ion! Slayer of Spiders the size of oxen!
LordVreeg (GM):the squat man looks over at Triske. "I might like you folk!"
and smiles
The squat man motions you over
"Jomanny!!!!", he roars, ale for another doxen!!!" the young man on the other side, barely dressed, starts pouring
the girls start their dance, but room is made for you ro move past, or join in
Llum:Vimy: Let us find Creel, we caN enjoy the festivities later. Max! Take the donkey to the stable then find us
LordVreeg (GM):there are fire pits on both sides of the room, and the dance is in the middle
max.." Aye, sir..." and he goes around the back
the squat man smiles. " I be Creel..."
Creel is a large man, especially for a Heldras. Nearly three arms tall, wide, and with three separate scars on his face, he has seen much. In the Smoky environs of his low, long camp cabin, the red light of the fires on this cool, early spring night give him An orange and black underworldly visage. His battered ring mail moves nearly soundlessly across his wide frame, and a huge axe is scabbarded on his back
" I'd like to meet this slayer of SPiders...
the noise stats up again
Llum:*Triskel steps forward*: It is I! Triskel of Ion! I have slain spiders the bigger than a cart!
LordVreeg (GM):and while the girls move in their less than clothes, and Jomanny comes over with large wooden ale horns for all of you
Bastien M.:Kael *grabs and drinks* yeah
Llum: rolling d20
(

LordVreeg (GM):it is a dark, rich ale, full of spiced apple
10 exp
Bastien M.:Cilla *refuses with a gesture*
LordVreeg (GM):Creel claps Triske on the arm" I have Need for you, hero!!!
Llum:Sinjaid: ...
LordVreeg (GM):"I have lost much, and I the brave may prove themselves"
Na, Not sure what has gone on in that accursed woodâ, he shakes his head as his eyes go over the lot of you. The floor under his feet is covered in Thick, black rugs, and the smell of charcoal inundates everyone. His accent hints to some time in the northern hills. âAnâ I have seen the beasties myself, red-eyed fiends of the Hunter".
Llum:Vimy: Monstrous wolves?
LordVreeg (GM):"aye, I know it...I have seen them"
" so if ye be game, I promise thee 100 dreccam, plus 25 for each of ye that come back with knowldege of my folk."
looks around the smokey room. This is a brave man and there is a presence about the man, a surety. "So, our fellows are in four groups in the wood, and so with the others and the independents, probably some six to eight groups right now. But normally they stay in for a week, but no group has come back in a fortnight."
"I can also offer you spiced ale and some salted meat..."
Bastien M.:Kael: sounds good for me *drinking another gulp of ale*
Llum:Triskel: I will slay the Hunters beasts! I am in need of a new cloak!
LordVreeg (GM):roars from behind he smiles, " I hope so. A group such as you, with the loud hero, "he nods at Triske, " mayhap you will solve my problems."
Llum:Sinjaid: ....
Vimy; We would be honoured to help, Where do you suggest we search first?
LordVreeg (GM):Creel nods. " wait for the blessed morning, for the words of the Furies. Then, ther is a path to the north, well travelled,"
" the girls are mine, though you may have Jomanny if you wish tonight."
Bastien M.:*Rhiia blushes again*
LordVreeg (GM):ooc, any who wish to take salted bacon rations may do so, 20 we units per day taken)
Llum:ooc: Vimy will put 20 days on the donkey and Sinjaid and Triskel will take 5 days each
LordVreeg (GM):ooc, the donkeyhas one pack, and can carry 500 we units
ok, remember the total load per person is ST*100
max can carry 500, and has 200 left
Llum:ooc: ya, all my guys can carry at least 1400 we. Tons of room.
LordVreeg (GM):ooc..well, one can always drop food
Max also is carrying 3 blankets
Bastien M.:OOC: Rhiia will take 20 days
LordVreeg (GM):ooc, fine
ooc...I am jumping ahead....
And trhe next day, the sun rises clear
all of you slept in the warm confines near a firepit
and the sun is clear, though the air this spring morning is crisp
you all wake to the smell of frying eggs
LordVreeg (GM):and warming hard cider
(From Bastien M.): any way to get a porter on the town?
Llum:Triskel: Where is the meat to break my fast! I crave not eggs, bring me the hen that lay them freshly roasted!
LordVreeg (GM):Jomanny hustles away
Bastien M.:Kael: Loud as always
LordVreeg (GM):from a loft above, " Triske, youd eat my women and fuck my food!"
laughter all around
Bastien M.:Cilla *looking for creel*
LordVreeg (GM):he is coming downa a staircase, in the other side
Llum:Triskel: I'll do the same when I come back with a new wolf cloak!
LordVreeg (GM):Crel laughs and points at Trisk, " Bring me one,and we will talk!"
Bastien M.:Cilla: (to Creel)excuse me... is there a way to get a porter or a donkey for the journey?
LordVreeg (GM):the me and women lie all around rthe room
Creel..." Aye, go to the Pnance trade house, lady. They should be able to help."
Llum:Vimy: Good morning all, we can depart for the northern woods after we break our fast.
Sinjaid: ...
Bastien M.:Cilla: i'll take a detour to the trade house if you don't mind...
LordVreeg (GM):Creel, " Triske, we pay 5 dreccam per wold hide....bring me a dozen!!!!:
Llum:Triskel: If there are enough wolves in the forest after I cloak myself and my friends perhaps!
LordVreeg (GM):the place is waking up, and you all swig warm hard cider
Creel laughs long and hard, and claps Triske on the shoulders
ooc the group preapres to leave
Bastien M.:*Cilla took her breakfast, said something to kael and goes to the trade house*
LordVreeg (GM):ooc, at the tradehouse, it is barely open
a tall women in leather greets you
" well, you are new, milady"
Bastien M.:Cilla: Good morning, i was wondering about getting a donkey and Creel sent me here....
LordVreeg (GM):coming
the lady smiles, ""oh, es Creel..."
we do have 4 donkeys for sale
but they are 15 Dreccam apiece, Milady"
though we'd do 2 for 28
Bastien M.:Cilla: ok, let me see *looking her pockets*
*not enought*
Cilla: ..... looks like i have not enought money to afford buying one....
LordVreeg (GM):she frowns
"that is too bad....
Bastien M.:Cilla: but i'm interested in some blanckets and a backpack
LordVreeg (GM):the bakcpack is 3 dreccam, the blankets 5 mdeula
Bastien M.:ok, i'll take 3 blankets and a backpack
*she gives the money*
LordVreeg (GM):she smailes, and they are very well made cloth, brown blankets
the backpack is leather and cloth
Bastien M.:Cilla: thank you so much, i'll depart now
LordVreeg (GM):the rest of the group is at the entrance to the deep woods
huge trees, with thick coils of wicket brambles all surrounding the undrfebrush
Llum:Vimy: Max, keep an eye on the donkey. I don't want him losing the pack in some brambles
LordVreeg (GM):ok, can everyone see the trees and tokens?
toakes a while to laod at first
Llum:ooc; atm I only see a giant black square. Loading presumably
LordVreeg (GM):and that is takes and load
yep.
Llum:it is massive
ooc: Bas got kicked I believe?
LordVreeg (GM):spent some time building this forest
crap
Llum:ooc: and he returns!
LordVreeg (GM):yay!
first thing is, set your scaled on the left bar as 100%
are we getting visuals yet?
Llum:ooc: still loading, and it's at 100%
LordVreeg (GM):should come soon

LordVreeg (GM):thought that might be it

LordVreeg (GM):cool./ good game
Of course traveling this thursday.
Maybe Tuesday?
I can't make it tuesday, going to see Jurassic Park in 3D
I am not around on wed/thur....FRiday?
friday it's fine for me
ok, let us see for LLum. And see if Steerpike wants to get back in.
LLum, how is Friday night? I would like to move through the track in the woods...And the woods are huge.
I think I can swing Friday, however this is subject to change. Friday and Saturday are not my best days.
Well, I will certainly be on tonight for the current 2x3 funnel.
The first session was the group getting acclimated to Lochman Village and each other, the group is just entering the Purple Forest now.
8:45 eastern.
https://app.roll20.net/join/64904/0eW9tA
Will post the session notes tomorrow.
Good session to really get acquainted with the roll20.net site for a battle. The game started a little late, with the party of 7 moving deeper into the thick woods, contrained to the trail by the wire-like brambles that cover thickly the forest floor. Triskel, as always, took the lead, and the happy band passed a wooden, carved statue, slightly larger than man sized, and placed on the forest floor without a dias or platform. The group knew it to be Jonah, a minor god of fortune and luck and of not being lost...
They left and offering and about 5 minutes later they came out into a clearing. The thickness of the leaf-roof was such that they still needed the torch to really see more than 30'. The clearing had a few piles of wood, a ruin of a huge-log wagon, and some rope.
The group started hearing gibbering and mad laughter, and as Triskel and Kael started moving in the direction of the strange merriment. A bronze handaxer flashed out and skimmed Kael, drawing a bit of blood...and a strange man, with axes, a huge mustache and leaves in his hair, and red checkered rags came rushing out of the Northern darkness, and before long, the group was battling 5 of the mad lumberjacks.
and while blood was drawn on a few party members, after 40 seconds, all five of the Lumberjacks were dead, covered in blood and bruises and burns.
Funnel will be played next on Thursday, as I am back from traveling. And I could use a disctraction from the Boston issues.
Group is in the first clearing, after fighting the berserk/insane lumberjacks.
Llum, Basneti, and anyone else, we are on tonight!
I can't make it tonight, I'm writing my last final ever.
well, ok then....you'd be excused anyways, but that makes it pretty special.
We will regroup next week when llum is an ex student.
Again, the travel on a Thursday. WTF?
Guys, can we do Wednesdfay or Friday?
I'm good for ether with a bit of warning :)
friday will be fine for me (got a reunion on wednesday)
Friday should be fine, then....Death to the mad lumberjacks.
Tonight, tonight, my unconvenrtional conventionalist....8:45pm, we game.

SPIDERS!!!!
In the Trees!
Back away.....
OK, the funnel looks good for Thursday Night here. The exploration is going well, and I am liking the reveal features in the game as you guys intelligently used a (silent) rogue to go scouting. He spotted the spiders in the trees to the north of the trail, so now you guys sort of have a choice.
8:45 eastern, to maybe 10:45 eastern.
Also, for those not playing, i don't mind if anyone still wants to join in. the group is still pretty close to the entrance to the Purple forest. I wish I had a screen shot to share, it has been pretty fun.
Hey! Here we are.
This is from the GM screen, so there is a bit more that is revealed, but I didn't think it was that critical.
Screen shot (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/65817805/screenshot%20for%20accis%20funnel)
As usual, a dinner with a rep came up. I may be on a little late...
OK, we made the game happen anyways, with more exploration, finding the hut with all the body parts strewn about, and they found the body with the decent armor on it.
then Sinjaid explored a bit more, and they ran into the dark with 2 sets of eyes in front of him...
Next session starts with him shooting the bow...
And we are most certainly on tonight, for the OSR goodness of simple gameplay, heroism, and exploration. 8:45, eastern.
Group is in the Purple Forest, on an old trail, with red eyes peering out from in front of them.
Things were going ok.
But now we will be in The Crown Plaza for the next 5 nights.
so...never mind. We play next week.
We should have no issues, gang, for Thursday night craziness....simple gaming purity shall be ours.
FUNNELING?
do we have players?
I'll be there
https://app.roll20.net/join/64904/0eW9tA for tonight's game
do we have Llum and Bast?
I'll be there tonight
awesome, let's see if we get LLum
I am in!
Truly awesome
Will be on and moving by 845
https://app.roll20.net/join/64904/0eW9tA
sorry guys, can't understand why all the big issues came on Thursday night. If you can tonight or next week I'll make sure to make it.
Tomorrow night, basmati and llum and anyone else who wants. Simple, osr goodness
gang, any way we can do this on Friday?
I just found out the wife made special Birthday plans...
Happy Birthday Vreeg, I can't do tonight or tomorrow anyway. Everyone is leaving town for their careers so it's kinda busy this week.
Happy Birthday Vreeg!!!
sorry to hear that Llum
Ok, guys, sorry, but sounds like next week is better for llum as well
I might get on late, but don't count on it.
6 6. 66 lives on
I can't make it tomorrow, Man of Steel pre-release screening in my town.
friday?
Checking to see If I can make Friday Happen here.

Checking to see If I can make Friday Happen here.
looking good for friday, llum?
If we could start a little bit earlier on friday I could probably make it. But my friend is leaving town and is having a going away thing at 10ish on friday.
fine for me
at which hour should we start?
Probably right after 8, like 8:15-8:30eastern
going!!
https://app.roll20.net/join/64904/0eW9tA
well, we've gotten up to five sessions in accis.
Not bad, not great. But as a playtest, for both roll20 and for the simple rules, it is going well. The group has explored some of the Purple Forest, and has discovered a few things, as well as being attacked by Mad Lumberjacks in plaid, huge spiders, and now a group of wolves with a direwolf leading them. Not bad.
Here is the screen shot (http://accisworldofbronze.pbworks.com/w/page/66980132/second%20scrrenshot%20for%20accis%20funnel) from the end of session 5, from the GM screen. The players have the fog of war and cannot see the darkened areas.
I will be on tonight, gang.
Ok, I'll be around
Excellent....
come and find us, llum
got a little session in on Thursday, more discovery of a wagon area, with broken wagons and dead, ripped open donkeys.
Also a strange, old statue...
More next Thursday.
Unless I have funnel folk tonight, we'll push this to next week or Sat. I will be at the house in Maine until Sat night
I can't make it tonight
Llum will miss this thurs....we need to replan
REMINDER, lLUM WON'T BE ON, SO WE hold for a week
