Fashions of Cad Goleor
For the purpose of providing a visual representation of the peoples of Cad Goleor, this thread is to show examples of the basic style of dress of the different regions of Abred in Cad Goleor.

I like it!
You should have entered the contest last month...
Which style would be most likely to be seen where our game is taking place?
Ardmore is the larger region Ceann Balor is located in, so that's the one to look at for Balor's Head. The image labelled "Celtiberian Mercenary" is pretty spot-on for one of King Ecnel's or Lachu's Tresteg Clan guards (Except maybe the helmet)
Ah, nice.
The one right below the "Celtiberian Mercenary" would make a pretty good Sorcha, I think. She's got the right wild look. She'd just need white hair instead of brown, and a sickle instead of a dagger. Probably a few more tattoos, too.
Yeah, I was thinking that was a somewhat appropriate look for her. I just envisioned more of her legs to be covered, mostly (apart from the differences you mention)
I meant to include this one under Prwdardd as well, but I couldn't find where it was located online until now. Wearing armor like that would mean he was both wealthy and had a vested interest not only in surviving the battle, but not being injured in it either. So, someone in a position of power.

Good to see Slaine making an appearance in Prwdardd :)
I like that.
That guy is kind of how I pictured the king, but he isn't from "our region," so it might not be totally applicable.
There's a bit of carry over when it comes to nobles and kings. Kings all tend to be a bit more "robe"-ish than the other classes of people, and King Ecnel wears longer clothes than others from Ardmore, so it's not totally out of place.
Looks like this setting has my interest, based on those images above. I will have to find and read your information thread.
M.
At some point, perhaps I should include some pictures of equipment from various regions too. There are still two regions of Glasconai that I haven't shown clothes fashions for yet, though.
When I get all the information together, it could be cool to have full writeup with art of the different styles of clothing and weaponry that shows off each place.
I'd certainly be interested. I will speak to an associate of mine. He is a draw-ist, mayhaps he can lend a pen.
M.
Ooh, cool. I sometimes do my own art, but I mostly suck when I'm not copying other people.
