I'm at it again. :yumm:
Quote from: Here's how it worksOne of the common statements I've seen around here is "we need more setting reviews." Well, it's true. I've tried to contribute here and there to this reviewing process, but it's not always easy to come up with something worthwhile to say. I'll admit that often it was because I, in the interests of politeness and harmony, discounted anything negative from "worthwhile." However, I've decided on a new approach: I'm not even going to try any more.
Lest any lynch mobs form, I will keep this an opt-in process.
Therefore, I now offer...
Sparkletwist's Impolite Setting Reviews!
Essentially, what I am offering is a pull-no-punches review of your setting. I don't expect to be overtly rude, so the title is a bit of a joke, but also a bit of a cautionary statement. I'm not going to needlessly insult anyone or anything nasty like that, and jokes about the questionable ancestry of one's mother are strictly off-limits-- but I'm going to abandon notions like "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I will try to keep the criticism constructive, but if your ego is bruised easily, please pass this one by. I will not get into any e-fights over this.
Anyone interested? The sign-up sheet starts below!
Feel free to review anything I post (or have posted)!
I'm in, though I don't have anything early as expansive as anyone else.
I'll go fish up a pu'er pick for you to stab me in the eye with.

I'm in a similar boat as Chaomesh as far as amount-of-setting goes, but feel free to honesty away.
It would probably go a lot better if you guys would post a specific link to something for me to look at. Otherwise I'm never really sure where to begin.
But it's more fun this way!
Yes, it's like a minefield. BUT since you chimed in on both of the last seeds I posted, I'll crop up the most recent one:

I'm not sure how much information you need on a setting to review, but seeing as Pinnacle is starting to get somewhere, I'd be happy to have a review of it. It might not have enough info yet, so if that's the case then I can always work at posting away new stuff.
Here you go!
Pinnacle (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209850.0.html)
Hmm, I have already chimed into both of those threads! I've already said most of what came to mind about them in my posts in the threads, so I don't really have much else to review at this point.
I generally like what you guys have put out there-- it's not like I was just holding back all the "impoliteness."
Well, you and I have talked a lot about Cad Goleor, and continue to do so, so no point in asking you to do that one. (You may have done so already). I think you've also done Avayvenon, so if you were to do something of mine, it would have to be either Camulus, or Infernal Devices
You've already given some handy feedback on Lovecraft Holmes, so I guess Mu is it, being the only other setting I have up here and written up (though sadly neglected of late):

Hmm, I should really get back to work on that after I finish these assignments...
I'll have to whip something else up. I've got something with wizards in space that I haven't messed with in a while.
