Title: What's new?
Post by: sparkletwist on August 05, 2013, 07:43:39 PM
What's new around the CBG?

Steerpike has started a project called The Reskinned Bestiary (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209931.html) that takes creatures from various monster manuals and gives them some new fluff. Take a look!

(Or, if you just like monsters in general, take a look at Theopteryx's BOOK OF MONSTERS (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209921.msg224328.html#new).)

HippopotamusDundee has started working on Mu (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209569.msg224432.html#new) again, a "world of weird primeval dragon-stuff."

PymteinMagnushake has updated Primeval (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209572.0.html) recently.

A new D&D Next playtest packet has come out. Discuss that here (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209631.html).

If you have been doing research (http://www.wikipedia.org/) lately, post here and tell us what (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209861.html).

(Another sparse news post! If you want to fix that, you know what to do (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php?action=post;board=12.0)!)

I have done quite a few updates on my Primeval setting, mostly rewriting of stuff that was already there. Well, only that. Better now I think.
I think it's worth a look! (If anyone is interested the link to the thread is in my signature, below)

You could always plug Blood of Tyrants (http://www.thecbg.org/index.php/topic,209916.0.html).

Y'know just to have some more stuff on the front page.

It's just been an informal rule for a while now that to get on the front page you have to substantively engage with other people's stuff-- posting an in-depth review from time to time, playing in someone's game, and so on. Some people here don't have the time and inclination to do that, and that's fine, but they won't be featured on the front page.

Based on what I've added to the front page and what I haven't you can determine my opinions as to who has or has not done this.
