Title: Artist Recommendations?
Post by: LD on January 12, 2015, 09:56:42 PM
Hello! I am in a bit of a bind- I had been in talks with an artist for a few months to do the following paid project, starting it in January, and the artist, who had been very excited about the project, just resigned (before beginning the work). I had 3 backups- none of them can do it.

Any links to semi-professional (as in they have successfully completed commissions) or professional artist's portfolios for people who would fit the following profile would be appreciated:

-I need steampunk/victorian bust-up artwork for a total of 8, 4 males and 4 females. If necessary, one artist can do half and another could do the other half.

-Would like a bit cartoony as in "friendly" pictures rather than highly photorealistic or silhouettes. Do not want cartoony cartoony. Something like this: http://krayisako.deviantart.com/art/victorian-307668593 would probably work, but they are in the Philippines.

-There are other details that would be shared with the artist, here I am just sharing the most general terms.

I'm good friends with an excellent artist who has sold paintings before and also teaches art and does illustrations for books and scientific articles. You can find her blogs here (http://beemonstrous.blogspot.ca/) and here (http://bronwynmcivor.blogspot.ca/) as well as another collection of illustrations (some of which border on steampunk) here (http://thetownsfolk.blogspot.ca/) to get a sense of her style(s). She's based in Vancouver.
