For those who are unnaware...
Awesomeness lies here. (http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/teenagemutantninjaturtles/tmnt_large.html)
two words and two words only can describe how i feel right now.
WOO
and
HOO
This had better be awesome.
And I mean AWESOME. Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Hulk; be as unfaithful to that source material as you want, but TMNT is a sacred thing.

Damn straight. Preach it, brotha!
What source material are we talking here? Because there'd be a difference between the comic source and the TV show source (unless the TV shows are faithful to the comics). And then you'd have to pick which show. (If it's based off the recent one, then count me out. Maybe the 80's version didn't make them seem much like ninjas, but it was funny.)
I hope it's the best aspects of all of them. Capitalising on both the sheer absurdity and pure awesomeness (not to mention righteousness) of TURTLES (one of nature's most kickass predators) that are NINJAS (another one of nature's kickass predators). The 2003 animated series is a good benchmark, in terms of basing it on an animated source. So like that, but with more blood.
Just so long as the blood isn't gratuitous. I mean, if it's realistically bloody, fine. But it's just silly to add blood and violence where none needs to exist.
Awws... I likes gratuitous Violence...But on topic-ish, I love the animation on that trailer. It looks pretty well handled.
moonpaw, it's new york city. is there really anywhere or anywhen that blood can't feasibly exist? or urine, for that matter...
anyways, it's a movie, so i hope they use the first TMNT movie as the benchmark. the second series was great for a series, but it wouldn't be fair to use it as a benchmark for a movie.
I saw a little, short preview for TMNT a couple of months ago (it might be the same one, but this computer hates me and I can't watch it) that intrigued me. I'm definitely going to go to theaters to see it. However, whether I watch it more than once or buy it on DVD when it comes out, depends on what it's based on, the 90s series, the movies, the comics, or the 03 series.
Too bad it's animated. I would love to see a proper sequel to the live action movies. That said, this still looks pretty good. I like the animation. It's quality without trying to make it look real. I'll be seeing this, for sure.
I think that the Transformer's movie comes out around the same time.
