URBANDEAD (http://www.urbandead.com/)
Who here plays?
Survivor? Or zombie? A little of both?
What suburbs do you favor?
What are your characters' names?
Dominus Mortis, currently dead and looking for a revive in Barrville.
Cerebrunch, currently alive in Quarlesbank.
Doctor Freakenstein, currently dead and loving it in New Arkham.
Major Disater, currently dead and hating it in Huntley Heights.
PyroAgitator, alive somewhere in Whittenside.
Sergeant Soup, dead somewhere in Raines Hills.
Survivors, though my characters are ALL dead.
I played during the summer, but I died nearly every day. I have, approximately, eight characters. One of which died and had to be revived every, single day for over a week. So, I'm done with it for a while. Maybe I'll pick it back up in a couple of months, but probably not.
It is a good game, though, don't get me wrong. A text-based MMORPG, sweet...
It took awhile before I got past the dying every day bit. Free Running is a must if you do not want to be dead.
Lurching gait is a must have second skill for zombies to be effective. And Ankle Grab.
Ive got:
Doc Red, survivor scientist, DK13 member, doing his job in Fryerbank
Cassidy Madigan, survivor Cop, MPD, dead in Lurkinswood
Glowin' Lenny, zombie badass, dead all over the place
and Pickett; dead-ass fire fighter suck-ass extrodinare
Id love to crew up with some of my CBG brethren and fight/join the horde!
Fryersbank is a good place, nice and close to Fort Perryn.
Have you been to the fort since the update?
I think I have a character still in Whittenside, PyroAgitator.
NO I havent but I think I will. Doc Red isnt much in a fight, but my friends are real ass kickers ;)
Its so odd; I just found out about this game a few weeks ago, and now here it is on the CBG. It's really one of my favorite games Ive ever player; I love all the updates and cool stuff... like the military returning, for example. That ought to clear out those pesky ghouls and make forts more than a death trap.
I tried to play once... Played a survivor, used all my points in a matter of minutes, and got bored. :D
Of course, if I had some CBG back-up, maybe a next time would be different...
QuoteNO I havent but I think I will. Doc Red isnt much in a fight, but my friends are real ass kickers
Pyro is now in Fryerbank, at the Towne Row PD.
Crit: Get your character to one of the suburbs where I have a survivor(except the Major) and I can revive you.

Huh?!?! The military came back?!! Oh, well, now I've GOT to go and check up on the game...
Meh, I'm coming to play! :P
the game is ten times more fun if you have friends. Anybody who wants to join Delta-Kilo-One-Three in Fryerbank can team up with Doc Red and KG50's finest.
Oooh. Sounds good... where's fryerbank? :P I lost two of my character's action points in like, 15 mins...
At the moment I'm playing Fleshbite... a... special... zombie. He just spent ages breaking into the junkyard in Kempsterbank... only to find no flesh at all in there...
Right, I'm in Fryerbank. :D I'm Ramfin... and I'm blasting holes in this bastard of a zombie with about fifty hp...
How do you talk? I've said something... but how do you know when you get an answer?

Make your way to Towne Row PD, southern edge of Fryerbank.
As for talking, anyone in your building or block will see what you said immediately if they are logged in, or the sleepers will see it once they log back on. Same goes for radio transmissions. Cell phones are a bit unreliable.
*cough* I made my way there. Guess what I found? Naught but four freaky zombies.
Quote from: Golem*cough* I made my way there. Guess what I found? Naught but four freaky zombies.
RUN!! Zombies have crashed the party, about 9:00EST!
Get to Hobson or Dohoney if you can. If you die, go to Banbury Street and I'll revive you.
I'm beejazz. And somewhere in Pimbank sucking at life... er... undeath.
I can't find Hobson or Dohoney... *worried*
Any tips on what to start as when picking up the game?
My suggestion is Scout, they've got Free Running (I think that's what it's called) which is quite useful early on, and throughout the whole game. Then again, all of my guys are dead, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me.
News! Their forgot password function works, so my survivor Sunetos will soon be up and running.
Okay, I've created a new character, simply for the purpose of joining CYMRO and Golem in Fryerbank. Luckily, I started in Pennville. Two questions:
1. Where should I go to exactly in Fryerbank?
2. What channel should I set my radio to? Or does it really matter? Usually, I used to have it set to 28.01, the "newbie channel" but if you guys have access to a transmitter, I'll set it to that channel. Keep in mind, I do not have Radio Operation.
I'm headed to Fryerbank, but it might take me a while. I apparently died, and I'm starting in Reganbank.
I'm hiding out in the Dohoney Grove PD. No AP, 6 pistol shots, and a flare gun.
Quote from: Sidekick BoyI'm hiding out in the Dohoney Grove PD. No AP, 6 pistol shots, and a flare gun.
PyroAgitator is there now. Also a bit low on AP.
I made it to the Shore Hills suburb before I ran out of AP. Definitely dead, and it definitely sucks.
Quote from: Critical ThreatI made it to the Shore Hills suburb before I ran out of AP. Definitely dead, and it definitely sucks.
Sometimes it is easier to build up some zombie skills, then switch over to being alive.
Dominus and Cerebrunch started that way, then after I had collected plenty of xp, I got a revive and spent all the xp on living skills.
Added PyroAgitator to my contact list. I'm Darkxarth, obviously.
EDIT: I've heard about people doing that, the earning Zed XP and spending it as a Survivor, but it never appealed to me flavor-wise. Maybe I'm just being weird, but I like to keep track of my character's life/unlife as if it were a story. And how would eating brains help him shoot a gun? But, I may change my tune if, er, when, I start dying.
So, I was reading over the UrbanDead wiki, and I've been thinking. Should we not, as members of the CBG, gather under one banner? I suggest we all gather in a low-danger suburb and organize, so that we might take this game by storm!
Of course, there are several things we shold decide... Mainly, zombies or survivors, what we should name ourselves (Fiends of the 9th Cabbage anyone?), etc. Am I just going crazy, or does this sound like a good idea?
I had thought of it as well, and Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage sounds like a great name. Personally, I'd prefer a Survivor group, but it doesn't matter too much. I'm not very good at utilizing the Wiki for cool things like that, but I'd be happy to put a little "Fiends of the 9th Cabbage" banner on my Userpage.
Yeah, survivor group... Maybe we're deranged cultists, who have lost our minds through countless transitions between life and undeath. Now we seek power through any means possible, and it all starts by gaining rulership of Fryerbank... (or wherever we start)
Sound good?
PyroAgitator's group says he's in the CABBAGE BRIGADE. Though it doesn't seem to be an actual group yet, I don't see why we can't make it our group.
hmm... I like Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage. It's more CBG, so that's what I'm doing. I mean, I've just started, so why not?
Ok, sounds good. Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage it is.
Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage works.
Announcement!
The Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage are now seeking recruits for their undead cult in Urban Dead.
Assemble in the Mellish Walk Fire Station, Scarletwood suburb. Survivors are preferable, but zombies will be tolerated so long as they dont eat involuntary members of the cult.
Sit tight for a bit. I needs me some AP. And have no idea how to find my way over there.
We need more than one rally point, for alt characters. It can be bad, in game, to have your alts working together in the same area. But, since Mellish Walk ain't far from Fryerbank, PyroAgitator shall head that way.
Scarletwood is a good SE rally point.
How about Old Arkham in the SW, for alts and others that like that zone.
Old Arkham would be alright, maybe the Bendells Fire Station? Unless you know of somewhere that would work better? Honestly, haven't been to the Arkhams much.
Gibsonton would be a good place for a NE area. The Oram Walk PD, though the Cathedral might attract trouble, or it might make a good HQ.
Oram PD works for Gibsonton.
Scarletwood PD is an organized human group in the SE, and their radio station is 27.70, so watch out if you're in the area. Whether they are friend or foe is unknown as of yet, but it might be best to keep zombie-violence on the down-low for now.
EDIT: My first alt, Avatar 9 is out of AP and in Dakerstown.
EDIT 2: Dakerstown is largely empty, with lots of Police Departments and Hospitals. Maybe this would be a good starting spot for the Fiends?
Death has slowed Pyro a bit as he heads for Scarletwood.
Doctor Freakenstein is in the cemetary a few blocks SW of Bendell's Row FS.
Major Disater is dead, and standing outside Oram Walk PD.
Since the adding of the highlights, I have been using red for PKers and GKers, and yellow for violators (zombie or survivor) for those that violate the Sacred Ground Policy.
EDIT: Where in Dakerstown, Crit, as Cerebrunch (Alive and well) is in Gatcombeton?
A warehouse in the SW section. I was just killed by a level 26 zombie, so you might wanna stay clear for a bit.
Quote from: Critical ThreatA warehouse in the SW section. I was just killed by a level 26 zombie, so you might wanna stay clear for a bit.
I got to the edge of the eastern edge of the burb, but am out of ap. This burb is frelled, but Cerebrunch is level 23, so he can handle it. I think.
So, NW rallying burb is Dakerstown.
SE is Scarletwood
I'm getting some sleep.
Cabbage Master is holed up in Yeatman Library in Gibsonton.
Sidekick Boy is staying at the Barter Road Fire Station in West Grayside going to Old Arkham.
Darkxarth is chillin' in the Empson Grove Police Department on his way to Scarletwood.
Quote from: Critical ThreatYeah, survivor group... Maybe we're deranged cultists, who have lost our minds through countless transitions between life and undeath. Now we seek power through any means possible, and it all starts by gaining rulership of Fryerbank... (or wherever we start)
Sound good?
Sounds good.
We shall take four corner burbs, then we shall spread Cabbage to all and sundry.
Do we want to designate one of the starting members as leader of each corner? If so, I'll take Scarletwood or Dakerstown.
The alts can serve as extra bodies for the Fiends.
My main (Darkxarth) is near Scarletwood, so that would be ok. But Cabbage Master is already in Gibsonton... so either of those are ok.
Quote from: Critical ThreatDo we want to designate one of the starting members as leader of each corner? If so, I'll take Scarletwood or Dakerstown.

Why don't you take Scarletwood (Pyro can be a meat shield there), and Cerebrunch can take Dakerstown?
And Cabbage Master can take control of Gibsonton. Major Disater awaits his orders.
And what about the chewy center of town?
Dominus Mortis is there, but dead. Anyone else want to take control of the Barrville/Ridleybank zone? D.M. is a pretty good goon to help whoever takes that zone.
Go Team Cabbage!
Ramfin's dead. He's heading for Scarletwood, where he hopes to find a resurrectionist.
Whilst Brassicae the scout is already in Scarletwood, outside the fire station, and Ramfin has turned away to eat sweet brains. Anyone in the fire station in SW at present?
Also, would you like me to begin... diplomatic talks with other human groups? :D
FYI, Fort Perryn is an abattoir. It's back in the hands of Charly Zed.
Darkxarth is officially at Mellish Walk Fire Station.
Cabbage Master has discovered that Oram Walk Police Department is Extremely Heavily Barricaded, and has moved to St. Aidan's Hospital until he can find a better meeting place.
Sidekick Boy is still chillin' at the Barter Road Fire Station, trying to build up some XP by killing Zeds.
I'll take leadership of the Scarletwood suburb. Sunetos will be arriving to assume command duties as soon as he gets out of his undead state and into the suburb.
EDIT: Please refrain from any "diplomatic talks" at this point. Secrecy is our strength, and we should keep a low profile until we gain enough power to defend ourselves.
EDIT 2: Can somebody give me a link to the wiki? I'm at school, and the main site is blocked.
Urban Dead Wiki (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Main_Page)
And I've got Gibsonton, and I assume CYMRO's got Old Arkham... so we only need someone for the NW now. The center is pretty heavily Zed-infested, and I think it would be pretty tough to get any kind of a foothold there.
Enough of our characters are using Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage that we made the groups list about an hour ago.
I think we should be an all inclusive group, dead/undead/alive/vegetable, let us not discriminate in the spreading the cabbageness.
QuoteAnd I've got Gibsonton, and I assume CYMRO's got Old Arkham... so we only need someone for the NW now.
Actually, Cerebrunch has the NW.
Doctor Freakenstein is a bit weak (no Free Running and low level) to take charge of the SW.
QuoteEDIT 2: Can somebody give me a link to the wiki? I'm at school, and the main site is blocked.

Anyone want to set up our group wiki page?
I'll give it a miss. ;)
Do we have an abbreviation?
Quote from: Sidekick BoyDo we have an abbreviation?
not really...
Also, Sunetos is dead and lying down for safety reasons at Churchous Ave, Greentown. This could delay his arrival at Scarletwood.
EDIT: Avatar 9 is dead and walking, currently chillin at a cemetary in Dakerstown.
I'm going to list myself, Critical Threat, and CYMRO as leadership, and "9th Cabbage" as our abbreviation. It can easily be changed, so just speak up if you think it should be.
Behold, the Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Fiends_of_the_Ninth_Cabbage)!!!
I could really use a revive at the cemetery in Dakerstown.
EDIT: Critical Threat, chillin' @ the Durston Building in Old Arkham. Is alive and well.

Pyro is at the Thompson Building(NT building) area, east Scarletwood. I have a revive ready.
QuoteEDIT: Avatar 9 is dead and walking, currently chillin at a cemetary in Dakerstown.
Cerebrunch is at the Roywood NT building. He has had to use up AP barricading and repairing, which has slowed the search for the revive serum. Despair not. Have some cabbage while you wait.
All of my guys are level 1... though I may bring some of my old characters back, I think a couple of them are higher levels.
Quote from: Sidekick BoyAll of my guys are level 1... though I may bring some of my old characters back, I think a couple of them are higher levels.
Then it is best to hang with a more experienced character. A higher level character can whittle down the enemy, letting your newer characters finish them off. That helps make up for their horrible to hit chances.
Still, level is unimportant for leaders. Devotion to the ideals of fiendish cabbage, that is the true measure of worth.
True, and my devotion is unwavering. So, I joined up most of my previous alts and characters, 4 or 5, so that should give our numbers a little boost. ;)
Heh, well, I'm pretty damn devoted. My character even has 'Brassicae' as his name.
Quote from: GolemHeh, well, I'm pretty damn devoted. My character even has 'Brassicae' as his name.
This is proper devotion.
You know, after thinking it over, I believe I should be supreme ruler of the entire cult and all you should chant my name mindlessly as I point enemies to explode. :P
*cough* Anyway, Brassicae's in the fire station with a load of unaffiliated survivors and DX. Want me to come join you? We probably should build up a base and fortify, fortify, fortify. I know the low-levels especially would appreciate a safe house where they'll actually be... well... safe. Also, Brassicae can listen in on other wavelengths if you want him to, with his portable radio an' all.

In your navigation around the wikis, have you found out how many inventory spaces a generator takes up?
I acnnot find that little tidbit of knowledge anywhere.
I've been having a fistfight with a Zed on Broadbelt. Against all likelyhood, only ONE of my sixteen fist (10% chance) attacks hit, but my flare (2.5% chance) attacked and hit in one!
Edit: After hacking its head off with the fireaxe, I've dropped asleep outside the PD... uh... yeah... help? :P

It is dead, and Pyro is hanging out until you wake your lazy butt up and get inside. :-p I only got enough AP for one revive, and only one revive serum.
EDIT: In finishing of that zed, I fire 3 flares(15% chance to hit) and only hit with one. Had to finsh him with the axe, as Pyro is out of bullets.

We are slowly getting together...
Doctor Freakenstein is working on getting free-running. It is really cramping his style not having it.
Dakerstown and Roywood are a mess. Cerebrunch wandered down to the NT, and everything is trashed. He might have to go to Judgewood for a revive.
Major Disater is in Gibsonton, Oram Walk PD.
Last, I feel that it is time to dispense with the facade. I for one, have seen some other causes I'd like to join. Also, I need some time to level up my characters free of an over-arching authority determining my purpose. Let us all choose a suburb (I nominate Scarletwood) and place one of our characters there. Free your other alts to live their other lives. We can still lead a successful cause with only one character a-piece, and it will probably make us more focused. Even better, we shall have allies for our alts everywhere, even if it is an unofficial affiliation.

I suggest that we all take a month to fan out, level up, pursue our own goals and develop our own reps, then converge on our base at a set date to rise up as a united group worthy of the fear we spread. Thoughts? I think it's time we brought some flair to this game. Cabbage Forever!

Wow, this is great, I had no idea there were so many Urban Dead playes from the CBG. I have three characters, scattered all over the city. I want to RP joining up various groups - roleplay is fun! I will join the Fiends, but I need to meet fiend members and roleplay it, since that's more my style. :P
I've burned up all of my site-accesses for the day, none of my characters are going anywhere for a while. Luckily, I used my last few moves to place them all inside safe-houses.

Well, come to Scarletwood. There are several Fiends in the Mellish FS, which is under attack, at 1530EST, PyroAgitator has left to search for ammo.
Darkxarth is currently on a search for ammunition. I have no idea how long it will take him to find some. There doesn't seem to be a PD nearby... :(

Dominus Mortis is on his way. Currently in Barrville.
Grr... I'm dead AGAIN.
Quote from: GolemGrr... I'm dead AGAIN.
Where ya at?
Ethan Brand is lying dead outside the Duke Hotel in Roachtown. I'll stand up once somebody gets near enough to revive me.
Rawkins Building, SW.
Darkxarth's not doing so well, but one of my alts is doing freakin' amazing, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Also, Dr Livingston (another alt) is making friends. I have a lot of alts, because I have the first few from when I played in the summer, and the most recent few. But then I found the passwords for the first few, so now I have about a half-dozen UD characters, all in different 'burbs.
Quote from: GolemRawkins Building, SW.
Where did you go?
I saw Darkxarth for about 5 seconds, then he disappeared.
Strephon is in Scarletwood. And why are the PD's barricade so heavy?

Pyro is in the Sealy Building, recovering AP from his search for Darkxarth.
Too many buildings in the area are over caded.
Why are you guys searching for me? Did I miss something? Is there somewhere I need to go? I can't right now (out of AP and maxed-out IP hits) but I could move out tomorrow. I'm so confused...

Crit was cornfused, I guess. Golem, dead or alive, is still MIA.
Yeah, I was just commenting. I saw you outside the PD while on an ammo raid.
Oh, ok. My confusion is cured! Yeah, I was running around trying to kill things, I blasted 18 shots at a Zed and only got 2 hits. Which, I guess is good for a 5% hit chance. Still frustrating though.
No... I'm still there... I was the zombie...
Somebody killed me, I think. That would explain it. I probably just showed up as a dead body.
Hmm... I've decided I really like the new contacts system. I never really used it much before now, but with the colors and everything, I'm adding people like crazy.
Red = Direct Enemy; someone who directly opposes the Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage or hates me personally
Orange = Not used
Yellow = Powerful Zed; high level zombie with Brain Rot
Green = Helpful Person; help if in need, heal if injured, and generally good to have around
Blue = Direct Ally; members of the Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage, and other allies I personally might make
Purple = Also unused
Black = Bad Guys; Player Killers, Generator Killers, Radio Killers, and SGP violators. Do not assist under any circumstances
White = Red Cross; NecroTech employees and doctors, those who heal, but do not fight
Also, Darkxarth is now at the Hillard Road Police Dept in south Scarletwood, in case you were curious or interested.

How are you guys getting in there?
If you're a scout I believe you can go from one building to another...
Gah, forget revivification for now. Being dead can rock. Brassicae's dead and he's earned more experience in two days as a zombie than in two weeks alive... :D 25 XP off being able to afford military skills when I'm alive again, so I'm gonna stay dead and hoard XP, getting only skills to improve my attack chance... I have nothing to lose, I just keep standing back up. :D

Green= Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage.

Yellow= known violators of the SGP.
Orange= RKers and GKers.
Black= Rotters.
Grey= Generally helpful people I run across.

On another note:
Lockettside looks like a good area.
QuoteSearching the store, you find a portable generator. This can be set up in any building to provide lighting and power.
FINALLY!!! My first generator!!!
Cerebrunch found it. He is in Calvert Mall, Quarlesbank. Any requests on its placement?
Wherever Cerebrunch is planning on hanging out at. It assists in searches, so PDs, Hospitals, and Malls are all good places. But no, I have no specific requests.
EDIT: Also Bars are a good place. Shotguns and shells are always nice to have.
And the hits keep coming.
Pyro is over at the Pole Mall in West Greyside. Radio transmitter. Goin' for another gen.
BAM!
Pyro has a gen and a transmitter!
Bargain Hunting rocks!
I'm having a pretty stellar week as well. All of my characters are alive, and most of them have gained at least one level, if not two. With the exception of one guy who's currently trapped in a museum hiding from the roaming horde of Zeds, my characters are rocking out!
Hey CYMRO, I think I found a nice spot to put that generator of yours. St. Patrick's hospital in Dartside, that way we can all find first-aid kits more easily.

EDIT: Ok, now it's down to VS.
Whoa zombies have broken into the safehouse in Gatcombeton! Ethan Brand has stood up to throw some punches, but it might help if Cerebrunch closed the doors and hit me with a revive.
Darkxarth is back among the living, and all is right with the world.
My characters right now.
[ic=Ethan Brand]"Gray matter appears to be directly converted to ATP, fascinating..."
Ethan Brand is a scientist who views the town of Malton as a massive experiment, and himself as an observer. Content to explore the mysteries of undeath from either state, living or dead, he is generally shunned by his colleagues and the majority of survivors alike. He is currently on his way to Dakerstown for samples...[/ic]
[ic=Strephon]"So, you can either go with me to the jail, or share some of that incriminating evidence and I'll pretend I never saw a thing..."
Strephon is a criminal who knows just where to stand in his quest for riches. A cop who earns his Christmas bonus from sources other than his payroll, he has turned to using the anarchy of Malton to his advantage. He has an (ir)rational hatred of zombies, and will shoot them on sight regardless of their intentions.
He is currently looking for a place to settle down, and some new associates.[/ic]
[ic=Critical Threat]"Damn zeds, I guess I'll have to find a new place to sleep tonight..."
Critical Threat was a spy for the military, just out of high school. After being separated from his contacts, he is lost in a hostile environment. With few survival skills other than his natural agility, he is finding it quite difficult to stay alive in the city.
Currently, he is attemptig to make his way to The Thyer Arms in East Grayside, the last rendesvouz point in his mission documents which hasn't been infested by the undead. [/ic]
[ic=Natural20]"Graaaagh!!!"
Natural20 was poor, and in all other matters fairly unfortunate as well. When the zombie plague came to Malton, he died once and has never looked back. The more he eats, the stronger he gets, and soon he might become the Scourge of Miltown.[/ic]
Cerebrunch is dead. I got to him and he had 5 hp, and zombies around, and infected. And no first-aid. :explode:
Got to the hospital next door. Infection. Now, 4 hp.
Search, search, search, search...voila! I now have a first-aid kit.
But the infection killed me. :dots:

Darkxarth is hanging out in the Stark Building in Scarletwood, fully healed thanks to a kind citizen. Plenty of ammo, but no fighting skills.

Pyro now has a gen, a transmitter, and fuel. And four revives. Who is the brass in this area? Once Pyro's AP recovers, he can drop them where needed?
Both Pole Mall and Clapton Stadium are important points in West Grayside, and the real power here is probably The People's Front of Malton (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The_People%27s_Front_of_Malton). They've played a historic signifigance in Operation: Lazerus (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Operation:_Lazarus) and are the largest active group in East Grayside. However, because I am unable to locate any kind of East Grayside related information on their page, you may want to go with the DPHC (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/DPHC). I have no idea what it stands for, by the way. Still, if you don't want to help a particular group, but West Grayside in general, consider checking out Stratham Auto Repair [54,85], where the Phone Mast is located. They may need a generator and transmitter.

Stratham is powered and has a transmitter. Hodgkinson Row Fire Station

Great! He should be our PR man. :D
Anyone in Havercroft? Ackland Mall has been breached. Dominus Mortis killed one zed, and combat revived the other, but I did not have enough AP to barricade well.

EDIT: If you have portable radios, or the operator skill, listen to and transmit right now on 27.27. It seems like a less busy channel.

Quote from: Sidekick BoyI have one or two characters with radio use, and they both have either radios or access to transmitters, and I think one had both.
Good, because it seems as soon as I suggested 27.27, there was an explosion of chatter.
West Grayside is very peaceful this time of year. Not a zombie in sight.
Ackland Mall has been completely overrrun. D.M. is dead.
One of my characters helped hold that mall this summer, he died too. Followed by the death of my others. That's when I gave up. But, do not fear! Now that we are one, we can join forces, or something...
Anyway, I had an idea that we should set a date to do something big. Like, the Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage all meet up somewhere, and go on a united Zed-hunting spree through Ridleybank or something. Details can be worked out later. But we'd have to recruit more people than we have now. And come up with some sort of plan, of course.
EDIT: We could even post it on the Calendar. How's that for thinking?

26.83 - Claimed by F.R.E.E.Z.E., but again, no wiki page.

Hey guys, instead of Scarletwood, I suggest any characters with free running take up residence @ the Thyer Arms in East Grayside. it's got an rntry point, is maintained, and has little to no problem with zombies. As soon as Critical Threat levels up again, I'll be moving there myself.

Sounds good. Pyro is south of there now, at a junkyard (67, 86). Low on AP, though. Should be able to get up there in a few hours.

Critical Threat is still in Dartside loading up on FAK's, he should be on his way to Thyer Arms soon.
Ethan Brand has made it to Dakerstown and has set up camp taking DNA samples for xp.
Strephon is in a PD, honestly dunno where, loading up on ammo. He currently has 5 loaded shotguns and two loaded pistols. Plus extra clips and shells.
Natural20 is alive after a surprise revive, and is chilling in a PD trying to pick up a flak jacket.
Being dead has its advantages. It has been so long since PyroAgitator died that he got three levels out of it, since he is maxed on Survivor skills.(http://forum.the-mafia.de/images/smilies/hammer.gif)
Just took a headshot though...
Darkxarth reached level 2! Woot! I thought he'd never get there, what with having no chance to hit anything and no one to heal... but now I'm blasting Zeds ('cept for Pyro, even though it tried to make me shoot you) with shotguns and life is good.

Pyro is off to the Sealy Bldg and graveyard, hunting a revive. It is a shame I can't use the five I am carrying.
Despite the valiant attempts by his comrades and friends to stem the Zombie tide, Zedtracker was killed by a wave of Zed attacks. In fact, much of Pitneybank is overrun with Zeds, including Fort Creedy.
By the way folks, Critical Threat is now in the Thyer Arms, and hanging out with all you guys who have agthered there.
That other guy in Thyer, Swamp Rat, he's STARS. This could be hugely to our advantage is there's a big attack. But I don't think we should advertise it as our HQ, at least not where people can hear us. They might be using it for something. However, maybe once we build up a big enough following, we can claim it as our own.

Dominus Mortis is down on the streets of Barrville, out of AP, the victim of over 'cading.
Pyro is playing possum in a cemetery
72, 84. He has plenty of revives, but only 11AP, so if anyone needs a revive in Scarlettwood, come to the cemetery and "Mhr".
Screw Gibsonton. The people there suck. Cabbage Master is going somewhere else as soon as he can get enough AP to ensure a safehouse. There's a guy with all Zed skills but one (Free Running) and no one but me thinks it's suspicious. Then I see a guy with Brain Rot, and everyone just seems to think I'm being paranoid. I hope the whole lot get eaten. It'd serve 'em right. So, any suggestions of nearby suburbs where Cabbage Master could hang out at?
Any fiends with combat skills and free running, I recommend you join me in Dakerstown. Ethan Brand has found it enjoyable and profitable, as there is little to no over-barricading problem, and zombies for DNA-samples(mine) and hunting(yours for the taking) are plentiful. Even if you make it there dead, I now have the ability to revive folks!
Natural20 is trying desperately to achieve undeath again in Miltown.
critical Threat is attempting to level up @ Thyer Arms in East Grayside.
I'm not really sure where Strephon is, but it's safe and ammo is plentiful, so he'll be there stocking up for a while. :P
Korwin, my toughest hombre thus far, might join you in Dakerstown, especially if the action in Rolt Heights doesn't pick back up sometime soon.
You know you can jump from tall buildings and become a Zed again, right?
Yeah, I'm aware that he's trying to level up... ;)
Good for Strephon, safe places are getting harder and harder to come by, especially without Free Running.
Shuttlebank could use the help.

I'm almost half-way there, I just have a really shoddy hit perecentage. I'm hoping to buy axe proficiency with my next level-up so I can battle some zeds instead of my allies.
Pyro, after over a year finally found a mobile phone. And another generator. Once he gets another transmitter he is back to Scarlettwood. Or wherever the eqipment is needed.
EDIT: And he got the transmitter. Now to save up some AP and get some fuel.
I could use a generator @ the hospital North of the Thyer Arms in East Grayside.
Also, slaughter at Fort Perryn for any zombies wo wanna join the fun.

Currently at a junkyard 71, 81.
Need about 8 more AP to get to St Hilda's Hospital 65, 80.
Can you scrounge some fuel. Shackleton Auto is a good spot if you have the AP.
I am 1S of the hospital, but it needs to be caded up a bit before I drop the generator, and I am low on AP.
Hey CYMRO, pull your character into the Thyer Arms, it's safer. Also, I took care of the Zed outside St. Hilda's, but Critical Threat can't barricade unti he gets another level.
Ok, Cabbage Master has moved once again and has taken up residence at a NecroTech building in Huntley Heights. He has 2 syringes (my first ever in the game!) so if anyone needs a revive, and is nearby, he is available.
Darkxarth has returned to Thyer Arms, and is glad to see Pyro alive again.
Sidekick Boy is bored to tears at Foxwell Auto, the Fiends' Dartside HQ.
Cerebrunch is dead again in Quarlesbank.
The Major is in the mall in Santlerville.
Critical Threat is enjoying life @ Thyer Arms in East Grayside
Natural20 is partaking in the slaughter @ Fort Perryn, currently in Whittenside
Ethan Brand has made some new friends in Dakerstown, and we're currently working together to fortify the suburb, starting with the Gristwood Hotel and the buildings adjacent.
Strephon is collecting dust and ammunition @ Voss Lane PD in Danversbank. If anyone could use an extra set of loaded shotguns and a man to fire them, give me a location and I'll start moving.

Cerebrunch might head that way hunting a revive later this evening.
Perhaps the Dartside HQ should be moved? Any building closer to and connected by free-running lanes to the suburb's PD's and hospitals is better than the Auto Repair we currently inhabit.

What about the Vivian Motel, 30, 85? Decent running lanes, access to NT and the mall, and free (http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:br2UU4d5zpOwJM:http://tv.aktualne.centrum.cz/logo/5s.gif)
[blockquote= Main Wiki]Latest News Update:
18th December 2006
As the city's survivors settle in for another winter in the quarantine zone, a number of them have been spotted dragging freshly-cut fir trees through the rubbled streets, and looting long-ignored plastic trees and decorative lights from the hardware stores of ruined shopping malls... [/blockquote]
Pyro is at the Pole Mall. Transmitter, on the first search attempt. Loading up on ammo and FAKs, then I am back to East Grayside.
In other news, the Vicari Building
68, 20, is under seige. The Major dropped one zed, but there are about 20 in close proximity, and out of AP.
Wow, the folks in the Vivian Motel are whacked. I think I'll go back to hanging out elsewhere.

Kind of like the git in the Thayer whining about his graffiti getting covered. Juvenile and asinine.
What about Club Frankland
26, 85? Still good running lanes, and they do a great chocolate martini.
Maybe its just me...
but whenever I see someone abreviated "good luck happy hunting" into "GLHH!" I just think of them making a silly noise by screaming "GLUUUUUUUUUH!" with their teeth clenched shut.
So GLIHIHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! to everyone.
Critical Threat is lying prone(and dead) outside Grice Railway Station in East Grayside. If someone in the suburb has a revive, I'll stand him up.

Yeah, I think Pyro is dead next to you.
EDIT: I'm revived. Once I have some AP, I'll revive you.

I take it you're the one that left the messages then? Anyway, I think Darkxarth's just going to hang in Scarletwood, he's still only a level 2, and he needs more experience before he can do anything significantly useful.
Darkxarth reached level 3! He's helping protect a NecroTech building in Scarletwood. He's just picked up Advanced Pistol training to supplement Free Running and Firearms Training. Life is good for him.
One of my alts, however, has made an enemy in an RKer. Doesn't want to start a fight among others, but he moved to another nearby building and said he'd kill him the next time he saw him. He's my highest character, level 11 I believe.
I have run into a lot more GKers and RKers lately.
I'm back!
Brassicae's currently asleep in a probably-diseased bed in the Odo General Hospital in Penny Heights, which seems to be a kind of homeless hostel, but with more guns and barricades. He's around level 2 and a half, with 30 XP to go to next level. If you want a mildly deranged, cynical and mildly psychopathic radio operator with his own radio, pistol and axe, call in on him.
Commander Vimes, level 9, died for the FIRST TIME today! I did not even realize he had never died until, well, he died...
Anywhoo...
Three more XP points and I'll have a 40% or so chance to hit with my axe... :D
Gonna get some civilian skills soon, however. Once I can splatter zombie brains over walls with my axe, I want to get radio training so I can help you lot out as a trained operator. ;)
At the moment, I'm asleep in one of the buildings adjacent to Odo General Hospital, Penny Heights.

I'll be heading that way sometime soon to join the fun... with that many squares to maintain, we really need some trained radio ops.
Thinking about it, there's no reason why all the fiends couldn't congregate in a single suburb, fortify it to hell and then kill everything we see entering there. We could make diplomatic talks with some of the people around, and before long we've got a coalition of survivor groups taking over Malton. :D

Actually,
Ethan Brand has Radio Operation. Maybe you could attend to the lower SE quadrant of Malton? I've got Dakerstown covered, thanks to my new allies.
Sure.
Do not forget, mall access, as well as NT, is a major practical consideration in location.
I've been attacking PKers for XP. I have one point left to go.
Just noticed this game, and created a character. The zombie called Arterial Clotting is headed south-west with no skills or connections, toward Old Arkham, just because he likes the name. Unless someone has a better idea.
Posted, headed South-West until out of AP, then accidentally duplicated my previous post. Arterial Clotting is currently about to get gouged to death near a police department on the way to Old Arkham. I think this means I'm still in the sucky phase of UD. Well, I'll stay with it a couple of weeks and see.
Yeah DeeL, it gets better. As a zombie, you're pretty much invulnerable, so you should be fine. Just use the map found in the wiki to locate a suburb colored Red, and walk until you're within it's borders. Then just start killing everything, human or zombie.
At least, that's my suggestion. Good luck, and if you need help, post on this thread.
As a zombie, South Blythville might be good hunting.
Killed my first PKer. GKill.
Due to my near-total lack of a decent computer (at least until Jan 8th), many of my people are dead. Darkxarth and Sidekick Boy still live, however, so all is not lost.
*cuts zombies apart in the hospital*
As far as I can tell, it's not a revive point - at least, it doesn't say so. I realised before (thankfully BEFORE killing either of the Zeds) that a place I'd come across was actually a revive point...
Anyway, so yeah. About 15 points off level 4, when I get radio operation. Currently I've put all my levels into axe skills, lacking a gun to use, but I think once I've expanded into civvy street a bit I'm gonna go look for some munitions and get some firearms training. :D

If it ain't a cemetery, do not sweat it. Some groups make fake revive points for easy pickings.
:D that's okay then. I have 3 XP to next level, and I've attacked this guy four times, missing him every time! I just need to hit... once...
DX? Where are you? My fully-living, angry and axe-wielding character - fully equipped with radio, two axes and a medkit - is heading your way!
Pyro has killed GKill a second time! Stupid PKer.
I played in the summer of 2005 after a recommendation from a friend. Played pretty much constantly over the course of a month; maxed out my civilian and deliberately died to max out the zombie skills too. I mainly played as a competition with my friends; I won - got lvl 32 (the max at that time) before they did.
Classic game and very addictive!
Arterial Clotting - 'Art' for short - is dead and well and finally possessed of Ankle Grab in Mockridge Heights. Time to start heading for victim-rich environments to work on those hand attacks...
I think I'll stick to just the one cadaverous character for now.
Good good. My characters are all settling in nicely, 'cept for Strephon the bad cop... I've decided to leave him alone for a while now, as he was just using up my IP hits.
Ethan Brand has met peacefully the Urban Guerrillas and is currently helping them take back Dakerstown.
Natural20 is tearing apart Fort Perryn, where the xp is plentiful when you cannibalize your fellow undead.
Critical Threat is working in tandem with the local S.T.A.R.S unit to maintain order in East Grayside, and he maintains the Thyer Arms as a refuge for any survivors passing through and looking for a drink.
That's all from Malton today, I look forwrd to hearing from my other CBGian comrades.
All right, Sidekick Boy finally found someone he knows... Brassicae! I got lost and decided to just wander around and kill Zombies for a while. But, now maybe he can get back and get a little more organized.
Darkxarth is just hanging out in Scarletwood protecting a NecroTech building and gaining levels.
Cabbage Master is trying to figure out how to get back into the Extremely Heavily barricaded NT building he was in without Free Running...
Art is headed north toward Yagoton, maybe to join the mall tour.
Got Memories of life now. Now doors can open in my future...
Non-descript survivors. Breakfast of zombie champions. The other dark meat.
Scratching my way across to a revive point in Kendall Row, DX... be back down in the hospital as soon as I'm revived and I've got enough AP to risk standing up and walking across the city alone.
Art is at St Swithuns in Yagoton. Mind you, he has no intention of getting a revive, but he's currently gnawing on any zombies who have occupied the ransacked building..."Holy Ground, Highlander!"
A new character has been dropped off down in Ruddlebank. A consumer. A survivor. Under the SN Kilroy Is Here. I plan to make him a spray-paint maestro, but I might get killed a few times first. Consumers make for the slowest advancement...
Is anyone here playing Aqwa? If not, you might want to check his profile, cause it's a HUGE coincidence.
Profile Link (http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=770059)
Not me, although Art recently tuned his radio to the frequency of the Fiend. Does that, or indeed anything, make him a member? (He is now dead again, but he's still got that radio.)
Under your profile, just change your group to Fiends of the Ninth Cabbage, membership is just that easy!
