I find this (http://www.kiddofspeed.com/chernobyl-land-of-the-wolves/) a little interesting as a look into the topic, though the guy's english isn't that great.
That is quite interesting. What I gathered, its a girl and her father traveling around the area affected by the Chernobyl disaster. They call it "Wolves Land"; how creepy and cool is that?
Good old "Wormwood", making the waters bitter and scaring the crap out of everyone. You know, I never really made that connection between the reactor disaster and the Revelations quote:
"And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter." Revelation 8:10-11
...although I kinda see this as being a small meteorite made of dangerously radioactive material crashing into the earth and tainting a crapload of the water supply. All that would be needed was for some reporter to refer to it as "Chernobyl" or "Chernobyl-like", and there's your Wormwood referance.
That's kinda creepy.
I find the pictures very inspiring for a d20 modern game with a post-apocalypse theme...
This is cool too (http://englishrussia.com/?p=293)

I like how there's trees growing in the city. Nature doesn't take long to take over again, it seems.
I actully kind of like this stuff. Pictures like "The Land of the Wolves" helps me alot when I'm making my campiagn settings.
