Title: The lyric game
Post by: Captain Obvious on January 23, 2007, 01:19:43 AM
Okay guys, because of a lyric i saw posted in the tavern i have decided to try starting up a fun game.
Somebody names a lyric and then people have to try and name the Song title and Artist of it.
Whoever gets it right goes next. (suggest alternatae rules if u want. these were just off the top of my head).

Here goes:
"For every lie I unlearn, I learn something new."

oh yeah, and try to not just google it. See if people can guess it first.

I know it's Ani, but I don't know which song (I haven't really been into her too much since Up Up Up Up Up Up Up Up...)

Quotefor every lie i unlearn
i learn something new
i sing sometimes for the war that i fight
'cause every tool is a weapon
if you hold it right.
Man, such a good verse.

I was kind of surprised this didn't take off more.

I'll throw one out from a song that was one of the inspirations for Kishar:

QuoteAngels, lend me your might
Forfeit all my lives to get just one right

Suggest alternate rules?  How about a song lyrics only version of The Quote Game?  The original poster posts a quote (in this case a few song lyrics) and then the next poster posts another quote (another song lyric in this version) that somehow relates to the original poster's quote.  One word is enough to count as related, but it should be something more interesting than a regularly used conjunction, preposition, or article.

For example, playing off this first lyric:
"For every lie I unlearn, I learn something new."

I might go with:
"Ninety-nine percent of my life I've been lied to."

Keeping with the original rules:

Inocent by Fuel

One that could be my contribution for either version of the game:
"Let your heart grow bolder, like an iron-clad brigade"
