[note]Cheers everyone, I've been workingon this for the past few weeks for online use but its a campaign anyways so i figured I could get help developing it here. This is actually an idea for the future, because right now the new world is only beginning to be settled in and Citadel does not exist yet ( thats up to the users) so tell me what you think![/note]
[ic]Welcome brave traveler, to the world of Pandore, once beautiful land now lost in the waste laid by a foreign foe. This guide, to you, is useless. It will not help you fight. It will not help you survive. It will not dave you from what creeps in the darkness and waits around every tree and corner.
With that said, I hope this does prove of some, if not much, use in that you will know a little more about the world around you. Perhaps after reading this you wont get lost in Frostcrag Dale and end up eaten by the Fatespinner like so many before.
So, at long last, I bid you good luck on your journey, and present to you Pandore: the Realms of Redemption:
A Traveler's Guide to Pandore
Pandore is the largest of the Realms, stretching north to the Ice Fields, west to the Calpanne Sea, and east to the mountainous border of the Easterlands.
It is a country of rolling hills, great forests and majestic rivers. Its capitol is the great Citadel, a great city built upon a hill overlooking the [name of forest]. Looking from the topmost tower, one can see the high sides of Frostcrag Dale, and the twinkling shimmer of dagger river. The forest surrounding the city was once a beautiful place where the brilliant gold and scarlet trees bloomed almost year round and housed a sizeable population of elves and all manner of woodland creatures. Now, the trees lie cold and bare, and the frost never melts on its hard bare floor.
Inside Citadel
Citadel is much like any other large city in Pandore but is far more elaborate. It is arranged in a large circle surrounded by a tall mithril wall. Inside the main walls are four smaller circles which house different sections of the city.
North: Privilaged residences, temple district, palace district.
East: Barracks/prison district
West: Merchant's district, trade district, markets, caravan houses, inn district
South: Lower class housing, apartments, common houses, guild houses/markets, tavern district[/ic]
This details how the Vxakar brood appeared. A later plot element.
[ic]The Vxakar Brood
The Vxakar first appeared in Pandore two years ago, when the Realm was at its height of prosperity, termed simply as its Golden Era.
It was a cold winter day, and for the first time in many years the Realms' twin moons eclipsed in the sky just as the sun began to set. As the moon rose and the sky darkened, a silence fell in Pandore.
Thant night, thousands of holes erupted in the ground, unleashing hordes of demonic creatures. Small meteor-like pods rained from the sky, smashing entire villages. A black rain burned anything it touched, and the sky turned into fire.
The Brood spread like wildfire, destroying most small villages by sunfall, when they suddenly disappeared, leaving Pandore shocked in its wake. That night however, they returned again to wreak havoc on the citizens of Pandore.
The Council of the Wise called a nation-wide retreat, and the lat surviving citizens fled to citadel, which was safe from below due to its solid bed of stone and metal ore. Ships trying to escape were enveloped and dragged beneath the waves by a strange leviathan that appeared in the seas.
Now, it is up to the Citadel Guard and their elite teams of specialists to find out what these creatures are and how to stop them from destroying the Realms altogether.
Brood Species
Creepers - creepers are the main pawn force of the Vxakar. THey lope on all fours at amazing speeds, with gaping mouths of slavering spit and hundreds or razor sharp teeth. Their slimy black skin makes them nearly impossible to see at night.
Leviathans - living beneath the waves, little has been seen of leviathans except for huge tentacles covered in spines and acid-coated suckers.
Brood Mothers - slow moving and obese, brood mothers act almost as carriers for dozens of creepers. Their 'skirt' of iron hard flesh make it nearly impossible to damage them. They look like nothing more then a bell shaped blob with hundreds of beetle black eyes that can see in any direction.
Gaspar - huge hulks of thick, scaly flesh and rending talons, the Gaspar are terrifying monstrosities standing over 20' tall. They have small round heads with gleaming yellow eyes and razor sharp teeth. Short legs provide rapid movement over long distances and huge arms with hooked talons taller than a man can rip metal to ribbons.
"Colonels" - Colonels are a name given to a humanoid form of the Brood that appears to control hordes of Vxakar as if they were colonels in an army. Cunning and great strategists, the Colonels are fearsome in hand-to-hand combat but are especially week to daylight, and leave battle as soon as the suns rays peek above the horizon.[/ic]
here is the general plot for right now
[ic]Plot: Open For Business!
Update: 0.0.1
The region of Pandore was recently discovered by an expedition heading west across the seas. The simple group of merchants sailed along the coast until they found the inlet of a small river shaped like a dagger. They continued to sail upriver before finding a fertile valley below a large deciduous forest of gold and scarlet leaves. Just over the line of trees they could see the top of a broad plateau. Since it had an excellent view of the river and the surrounding area they decided to set up a small camp there and leave a small post at the mouth of the river for incoming ships. Sending a small ship back to Kaeme, their home kingdom, they told the King of what they had found.
Now, the king sent a second exposition for exploration and settlement of the region. Is Pandore as peaceful as it seems or is there something darker lying in wait under the boughs of the Scarlet Wood? Will the newly settled area develop into a full-fledged kingdom or will it fall to dissention and starvation?
What can players do?
Players in this RP are set free to do whatever they like in the new kingdom. Start a new settlement, hunt for food, fight off invading goblins, whatever! It can even be as trivial as having a drink at the local tavern (if there is one Wink)

- Start a business
- Explore for treasure, artifacts or knowledge
