Post by: Ravenspath on April 15, 2007, 08:58:31 PM
I was wondering how to get picture to post in the forum threads. I would like to post a jpeg of Marit's map and the breakdown of the deities.

Thanks.

If you click on the "Post Reply" button instead of using the wuick reply, just under the text box there's a place that lets you upload files. Hope that helps :)

I generally use http://www.imageshack.us/ to host images, and the IMG tags to display them.

Poseidotune, why did you post mummy butt? :(

Tp illustrate three things:

1. How to use the image tag.
2. Why you should never give a mummy beans.
3. Never allow a bean eating mummy near an open flame

Raven,
I don't have a big, flashy link to it anymore on the front page, but there's a page right about HERE (http://www.thecbg.org/upload.php) that lets you upload files directly to the server.  Just make sure you change the name to what you want, because the server automatically adds some weird 7-or-8 digit number to the beginning of the file name.   Then, just copy the entire url of the image and place it between the [img} {/img] tags.  Cheers!

First of all: Hee hee Mummy butt.

Second where did you host your pictures? Did you upload them to the CBG or are you hosting them somewhere else?

Go here: http://www.imageshack.us/

Click host it after browsing for the picture
It will take you to a new page that gives you a bunch of ways to link to the image.
Go to the one that says direct link to image (bottom one)

then use the image tags with the url in the box between them. and poof you're done

I'M NOT POSTING ThIS TO ILLUSTRATE ANYTHING.
I do, however, take a lot of pictures I use for my game.  This is going to become a homonculous and his two nuperbippo slaves invading a temple, I think...
(yes), I spend a lot of time in cemeteries)
This is one I took in Burlington.  I'll let you guess what it really is...but I love creating scenarios around fun visuals...

so i thought other Gr**sy Ma***kes (GMs) might also use pictures similarly.  Maybe If there is a response, I'd set up a 'useful game picture' thread.  Unless, of course, someone already did.
