I fear your expectations may be disappointed.
23. the birth of a good god.
24. The death of a evil god.
25. A king/queen's birthday
26. End of the harvest season.
27. Important technological/magical discovery.
28. Birth of a race.
29. (evil societies) Destruction of a hated race.
30. Creation of the universe.
31. Celebration of day city/town/hamlet was made.
A holiday created for a race, culture, or religious following because everybody else had one and they wanted one too. :)

I never said I expected to get to 1001, just that all the regulars contribute.
And you cheated. one of the first ones was any celestial event.
I think this is 33: Hedonfest! A Valentine's Day for continua that don't have a Saint Valentine. Celebrates romance/pleasure for it's own sake.
34: Arbor Day. Might dovetail with one of the previous suggestions, but it occurs to me that in a campain in which Druids have real power, this one would be freaking HUGE.
35: Manna Convergence. In any campaign in which magic is real, some forms of magic might strengthen or weaken unusually at certain times of the year. On these days, folks will undoubtedly adjust their routines to take advatage/stay out of the way of the results.
36: The Day of the Holy Trickster. What campaign would be complete without an April Fool's equivalent?
whatever, you post, from experience on many, many 1001 threads, NUMBER YOUR IDEAS!!!!
37: Speakday. Say there is an oracle who can only give a prophecy on a certain day of the year. Well, this is the day
Quote from: Xathan, Actually Back This Time23. the birth of a good god.
24. The death of a evil god.
38. the death of a good god. (martyrdom!)
39. the birth of an evil god. (fearful toadying!)
40. Celebrating boys.
41. Celebrating girls.
42. Celebrating children.
43. Celebrating the elderly.
44. Coming of age ceremony: Since this is not on an individual level this holiday can be for everyone who reaches a certain age within the current year, or experiences a certain event in this year, such as menarche (in females), voice change (in males), or some other event related to puberty.
45. Worker's Day: In a similar vein to Boxing Day, employers give gifts to their employees. Alternatively, it could be a day of rest from work.
46. Celebration of the Military, honoring and remembering their sacrifice.
47. Tournament Day. A day when tournaments are held in all major cities.
