Title: Eruvian.com Today Announces Mapmaking Contest - Win $25 in Cartography Software [Moved from incorrect forum]
Post by: Eru on November 18, 2007, 12:32:30 AM
Hey All,

Not sure if this forum is meant for non-CBG-sponsored contests, but as I can't find anything stating otherwise....

Today Eruvian.com (http://eruvian.com) announced the official start to its Dundjinni Mapmaking Contest (http://eruvian.com/erudite_eruvianite/newsletter_2007_11_15.htm#MapmakingContest), sponsored by Dundjinni (http://dundjinni.com). Submit the best Dundjinni map before December 15th and win $25 in Dundjinni software including art packs, etc. Multiple submissions are welcome. See Eruvian.com for details (http://eruvian.com/erudite_eruvianite/newsletter_2007_11_15.htm#MapmakingContest).

Cheers!

As mentioned at the top of the Contests forum in the sticky thread, the Contest forum is for site sponsored contests. (http://www.thecbg.org/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?20388)

I've been told I need to set up a Spam / Advertisements section somewhere, I suppose it's getting about that time...

The thing is, while this contest looks really neat, I have zero experience with the program involved. If I weren't overwhelmed by school and work, I'd consider picking it up and trying to learn its use before the deadline, but that's just not possible for me this time.

I actually just got my first copy of Dundjinni about a month ago and found I picked it up in a matter of minutes - it's super easy. I'm still a huge fan of Campaign Cartographer, but for making quick, functional maps I haven't run across anything that beats Dundjinni.

They offer a free demo (http://dundjinni.com/info/demo.htm) - you might want to try it out yourself....
