Two reasons for this. A, some web comics have darn nifty world building too, and are just ripe for having ideas stolen from them.
B, cause some of them are darn good and it would be a shame not to let ya guys get your fun from it too.
so without furter ado, I bring ya Diggers. http://www.graphicsmash.com/comics/digger.php
With such amazing things as Skin Wearers, "Soldier of too many gods", prophetic slugs, vampiric squash, a professional troll and library rats.
and even if there's no idea to steal? enjoy the story....then go all ter#¤%¤T&ertte, when it reaches the point in the story where you have to subscribe to continue.
I hope everyone already knows about this one, but Girl Genius is lots of fun.
I also like Dominic Deegan, Oracle for Hire. The early stuff is alot of puns and humor, but the storylines get progressivley darker. Still, it's a very, very good read.
Least I Could Do is a bit risque, but some of the antics in there are pretty good, it's free, updated every day except sunday, and funny.
I'll post my whole list when I get home, with hyperlinks.
I am posting (http://www.drmcninja.com/) in this (http://www.asofterworld.com) high (http://www.rice-boy.com/)-quality (http://www.xkcd.com) thread (http://www.threepanelsoul.com/).
Well I'm sure everyone knows about these BUT I may as well post them: Order of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html) And CTRL+ALT+DEL (http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20021023).
Order of the Stick is a staple D&D Comic, full of inside jokes and roleplaying humor. CTRL+ALT+DEL is a nice comic that I think many of us can relate to. Its about 2 video gamers and their life. Its really humorous and enjoyable. Also, both of the Comic's animation improves with time. ^_^
Woot! CAD pride! Also: www.lfgcomic.com for Warcraft junkies and www.megatokyo.com One thing for MT that will make you all want to read it:
Gamers + Tokyo + Zombies + L33t ninjas + rent-a-zilla's = MT
I would (http://dresdencodak.com/index.html) like to (http://www.errantstory.com/) throw out (http://www.kiwisbybeat.com/minus.html) my own (http://nobodyscores.loosenutstudio.com/) recommendations, too. (http://www.perfectstars.com/)
Or something... (http://www.misfile.com/)
Dresden Codak is funny stuff plus smart stuff in a blender... of awesome. Errant Story is comedy and fantasy and really, really long. Minus is about a young girl who abuses her omnipotence. With a name like Nobody Scores, you know it can't end well for the characters. But for everyone else, it's worth a chuckle or two. And lastly, Perfect Stars is pretty artsy, but has some gems hidden in there. And by "pretty artsy" I of course mean really artsy.
And of course, the best comes last. Misfile doesn't have the best art, but the story and character development more than make up for it. Plus, it should win some kind of award for tollerance. You'll see...
Sup, fellow Koala Wallop readin' Limetom?
I thought I'd edited in a Perfect Stars link into my above post, but I guess I overlooked that. Silly crayon!
I hate to be a shameless self-promoter, but then again, no, no I don't.
Volklore (http://www.billvolk.com)
It's an absurd fantasy told backwards. So, I've ended it already, but I have no idea how it's going to begin.
But what of our friends in 8-Bit? (//www.nuklearpower.com)
Ah! I completely forgot about NuklearPower! So good it hurts!
woot, good to see a fellow MT reader! (good job sir vorpal!)
