Title: Xeviat's New Years Resolution
Post by: Xeviat on December 25, 2007, 02:13:13 AM
New Years is rapidly approaching. Unlike most people, my resolution is not to get in better shape or any of those common resolutions. My resolution is far more important, and geeky.

My resolution is to become a better member of the group I first thought of. From very early on, I lost the capacity to take a leading role in the growth of the guild, and I thank Ishy and the other mods for all they've done to make the CBG what it is today. That said, I would like to earn a place amongst the group's leaders, and the only way I can do that is to be a better contributer.

How do I mean to do that? I will do my best to review at least one setting a week. I will make myself available for in depth assistance for anyone who needs it (when I'm online, my AIM JAGXeviat will be available for any assistance). I will post more material for my setting. I do have the foresight to know that the real world will get in the way from time to time, but I will do everything in my power to make time for the guild, because I love it so and I believe it is a great service to our breed.

So, feel free to IM me and say "hi" if you see me on. I will be available to all guildies.

You know, knowing that you'd like to hear more does motivate me. I won't be going to school this next semester, so maybe I have the time. I'm still trying to get a few things with my setting established (like the races of the world are in flux right now), but once I finish that I'm certain I can resume work.

I did just write a really moving scene, but since it doesn't happen till the end of the book I can't really show it.
