So I've been using this map projection because it seems to be the most accurate flat map. I'll be using it for any of my world globes too, as I find it quite coincidental that the most accurate flat-map is our favorite Icosahedron.

Cool, hu?
I want to cut that out and fold it up.
Neat coincidence - I just saw that map for the first time yesterday over at the Cartographers' Guild. Awesome.
I actually have two cut out on my desk. I recommend picking one of the ocean triangles, such as the one above Antarctica in the picture, and remove it. This will give you a way to reach inside with your fingers and hold the pieces together to glue them.
If you use cardstock, super glue is great, but a mite bit painful. Be sure to have a wet sponge handy, because super glue doesn't work on bone dry surfaces (such as paper); it works by binding water together to make a chemical bond (it releases a lot of heat).
Since my setting is earth 50 million years in the future, I've been fiddling with plate tectonics for a while.
