Too lazy to read through all of it. From the first 2 pages, it looks interesting. I'll read the rest later.

It's really not very challenging or difficult.

It basically continues the discussion we have been having on the narrative nature of the game.  While in one thread we have discussed the role of the narrative vs. the rules, this polemic trumpets the possibility of the creation of a narrative through the use of RPG;s, almsot exactly in the same vien that Snargash mentioned.
It goes through the history of RPG;s from a narrative viewpoint, in that it mentioned the mish-mash that adding Gygax's bits of lore to settings that included god's, demi-gods, and heroes (which I still own) almost gets in the way of the narrative.  It explains that many ignore the narrative power inherent in such an event, and the connections to the narrative event.
In many ways, S&M's comments about the roundtable collaborative storytelling would be a fitting corrolary to this piece.

I am not an anti-intellectual.
I've got nothing against lit students (I was one for a year and I'm not entirely against being one again) or lit professors.
Somehow the word narratologists in the first paragraph was enough to make me cringe.
