Freewebs is now offering new fantasy-related templates for premium (that is, paying) members. I jumped on the chance, and I rather like the makeover.

But what do you think?

The new one, although shiny, lacks the peaceful serenity and simplicity of the older design...  I have to sy the old is better, sorry if that wasn't what you were looking to hear.

I can already tell that this is going to be pretty divisive. This might take some pondering...

I don't want to reformat link colors and images until I get a bit more input.

Are you guys nuts?! The new one is amazing! The old one looked a bit like free web hosting to me... *shrug*

On a side note, when did you get back ElDo? I thought you left. It's great to see you posting again. :)

Okay, well just be sure to fix all the text colors and link colors. Black text on dark red background is evil. (Add some borders around the white pictures too)

The borders are being a pain, and the text colors and link colors are in the gradual process of being reverted. I plan on getting most of the text formatted to the new stuff, but playing catchup on Project 1301 is a bigger priority.

I had to vote the Old One, just because I find a beauty in simplicity.  Of course, you could always have an opening page with both options on it, one for "Text-based," and one for "Graphics-heavy" sites, or something along those lines.  I think my next incarnation of my site is going to be mostly just text.

Edit: I don't dislike the new one at all, by the way, I've just been drawn of late to simpler pages.

I despise the new one, rather or not it makes you feel better, hah!

It just seems like 'generic world of warcraft fan page' to me. :)

The old one is... apparently completely unrelated to fantasy, but hey, it looks good.
