This is an extremely well-thought out and extremely unique setting. It reminds me of a Lewis Carroll/Planescape hybrid with a grotesque fairy tale feel on acid.
You know, the best think you could do for him is to get him to come over here and join the best place for discussing homebrew settings. :)
I'm going to be honest, reading this reminds me a lot of Wake (http://www.thecbg.org/wiki/index.php/Wake) (but in a good way). But there are literally tons of awesome, original things in his thread, and hopefully he'll come over here and get some good advise from all you hardy folk! :)
Edit: This is off-topic, but has anyone else noticed that enWorld is ridiculously slow nowadays?
If we post these here, I would have said something long ago about The Residuum Must Flow...
Yes, Ish, enWorld is so slow that I can't load it most of the time.

It has a much more nautical feel than mine, but otherwise, yeah. I've actually been surprised by the number of settings I've seen through the years that resemble Wake and I can't help but wonder if their minds have led them to similar projects along the same path. We should definitely get this guy over here! :p

Done! And I've started posting our "player's guide" to the setting in a thread called "On the Shores of an Infinite Ocean", which, coincidentally enough, is the finally-settled-on name for our new campaign.
I would like to hear more about The Interior, its very interesting. I think all the setting has an air of melancholy (and many romantic and/or suicide individuals around). The port may have different names depending on each faction or stray soul... or why dont you call it "Port of Nevermore".

We just sort of settled on calling it the port. Oddly, my current 3.5 homebrew is referred to as CITY. It's set in a magical metropolis made from nine portal-connected smaller cities.
Metaphores that gives shape, a kinda physical or at least visible shape to an adventurer motivation or fear sure work wonders and will do in The Interior.
Yeah, some times not giving a specific name to a place is better. "the port" sounds good.
Melancholy is my favorite.
