hey not sure if this is where it should go so dont get angry at me if it isnt >.<!
So i was wondering, if i were to choose rogue as primary class and multiclass into wizard, then when i reach 11th and choose to continue to gain abilities from the mage instead of a paragon path then can i replace on of my at-will powers with a wizards cantrip since it is technically an at-will power? Because i kinda wanted to have magehand :P
If you guys need me to post specific wording of the exchanging of at will powers let me know.
By the rules, you couldn't. Maybe your GM is a nice person and will allow you, once you've Multiclassed to Wizard, to pick up magehand with a feat. I would.
PS: Welcome; I don't believe I've seen you here before.
PPS: You aren't "new", but your post count is low. Either way, welcome back.
Psh im the Towel Ninja :P i dont come in here much so i wont expect anyone to notice me switching names D:
Hmm by chance could you point me to where it tells me i cant do that? (i dont have a nice dm >.>) Hmm he might let me if i use a feat to do so...
EDIT: thanks for the quick response btw.
The term "at-will power" has been erratad in multiple situations (such as the human's racial ability to gain a bonus at-will power) to state unequivically "1st level at-will attack power" to remove confusion (because there are higher level at-will utility powers, and at-will class abilities as you've discovered). Using this as a precidence, I'd say that my interpretation is supported.
BUT, you would actually be weakening your character by trading a Rogue at-will attack power for Magehand, so I really wouldn't have any problem with you doing it.
Ah thanks, maybe i just wont tell my dm about that because he likes to go with what the rule books say :D
And yeah i dont mind weakening my char it goes with my idea for him. Wish my dm thought like you..T_T
