Campaign Showcase Week 5, who's up? I'll assume everyone that's left that hasn't been selected yet; who else?
Not to downplay it or anything, since i think the campaign showcase is a great idea, but i'm not sure it's working.
I know mine hasn't been up long, but there hasn't been that much attention on it, and i think it was the same for the previous ones.
maybe we need to rethink how we go about doing this?
just an observation.
Yeah, I kinda agree... I brought this up once recently and it seemed that no one really agreed with me. Maybe we should get a bit of a round-robin going here. I'll have more to say tomorrow, it's sleepie-time now.
What happened to the whole Sable Cabal thingy? Aren't they supposed to be dedicated reviewers, or did I misread that?
I just don't know. That was the impression I got, but maybe I read wrong. Either way, we're about to get a few new activities around here, so if this Showcase thing doesn't work out (which I would find extremely unfortunate), we'll at least have other things going on.
As a point, I did get a small spike in feedback while my campaign had featured status.
Nothing earth-shattering, but a few comments.

(Normally doesn't get any)
In theory, the Sable Cabal is a group of dedicated reviewers.
In practice, real life came and struck down Crit and I, and we're the two main Sable Cabal members. Things are starting to even out for me, and I'll actually have review Age of Kings and Red Valor this week, and will from now on be able to review every setting of the week with great detail. So don't give up on it yet, just let things even out IRL.
I know that the showcase has helped me. Normally there are just too many campaigns to review and still work on my own, but looking at a new one each week is easy enough. I've read through both Red Valor and Age of Kings as they've come around, something I hadn't done before. But, as I'm sure all of you know, it's difficult finding time to do an in-depth review, even if you read through it all. I'm begining to think the main benifit of the spotlight is that I will now be following all updates on those two worlds, because I have read through the "back issues."
Okay, we'll go ahead and do another random roll tomorrow evening, let's get some more people putting theirs' up for review!
I s'pose Sleep can go into it this round. I was going to wait for 10th to start throwing mine into the mix, but I realized I'm probably not going to have time to do anything with it when 10th comes around.
Am I to assume that everyone who was in it last time (excluding the winner) is in it now? 'Cos I'm in, either way.
Salacious Angel, yes, the 2 others who were in it last week are in it. Turin's available to be in it again as well, since it's been 4 weeks since his Showcase.
Here's who we have so far:
1 Datrik - Xanthan, Last of the Fallen
2 Dystopia - Salcious Angel
3 Sleep - WitchHunt
Any others? I roll at 9:00 PM tonight.
Okay, rolling out of 3:

Xanthan's Datrik win's this week.
Just as a heads up, as long as nobody new adds to the list it seems reasonable to me that I just wait until Dystopia and Sleep have been up for Showcase before I throw Orden's Mysteries in again.
Túrin
That's fine Turin, we'll just circle through 7 campaigns until we have more people ;)
Just as a point-- I'd hate for you to misspell his username on the actual announcement. It's Xathan, not Xanthan, Ishy... ;)
EDIT: You got it right, so nvm. :)
lol. I called myself Xanthan on the WOTC boards at first, I guess it stuck in some peoples minds. :P Nope, I'm Xathan. :)
Yeah, I think that's what I was remembering
