Title: CBG 2.0
Post by: LD on April 01, 2009, 09:56:25 PM
Hi. I read the post on the front page (from October)
How's this coming along?

I must say though, this site already has tons of neat features the I have not seen anywhere else.

Didn't you all hear?

Ishy said he doesn't have time for it anymore, so it probably isn't going to happen.

Like I've always said, it'll come out sometime between the heat death of the universe and Duke Nukem Forever (and those two things will happen in that order).

Ah, ok. I thought there were two other people assisting him, but I suppose they peeled off.

It's nice forum software as it is, anyway.

Limetom is about as trustworthy as the National Enquirer :P

Especially on April First.

I'm one of the beta members, and I have to say...

...It's a wreck.

We're going through the kinks right now, taking things back to formula, beta testing things.   Most of the features work perfectly fine, we just scripted Stargate's user account to constantly glitch since he's complained about CBG2.0 since Day One! ;)

More honestly, I rushed on in the beta testers when we really weren't ready for them - the other two guys said we could, but we should have waited a couple more weeks.  Anyway, if nothing else, it's forcing us to keep fixing things (like "Reply" links) so that the beta testers will at least have a way to complain to us when something doesn't work!

I go to Limetom to bounce linguistics off of him.  He gives a good rebound there.  He is also extremely knowledgable in the ways of 4chan.  Other than that, Our poetic friend might be onto something.
