That's right, I'm looking for a new map for Xiluh. While I like the one that's already up, I'm actually starting to get a little uncomfortable with it not having been designed specially for Xiluh. Which is where you come in.
I'd like a new map that's based on the current one, with care to include a few areas of attention. In particular, the southern mountain range, complete with the Mount of the Fist and the valley in the middle, the Hills of the Northern Crescent, and a cleared area where ruins might abide.
Also, I'd like it in two different sizes. I'd like one "reasonably sized" version for the Xiluh thread, and I'd like one 13.8in.x9.4in. version that's split into left and right halves. The reason for this second version (and part of the reason for wanting an original map) is that I would like to keep the option of publication open. This will allow the map to be a two-page spread, with margins taken into consideration. If this map ever gets published with Xiluh, I'd much rather work out some sort of deal directly with the artist, instead of having to go through paperwork with WotC.
Obviously only one map will be chosen in the end, but I will appreciate any work you guys put in. If you have any questions about any specifics, feel free to ask.
I don't know if my wife will let me do Cartography on the computer for more than 14 hours a day... :) Depends on how fast I can do this paid map... Will check back in a few days.
How close do you want it to be to the map you have currently?
What resolution?
I want it fairly close in design, but I don't want something that's too close to a duplicate.
72ppi is obviously fine for the smaller version, something reasonable from 100-150ppi would be nice for the print size.
If you don't mind my style, I'd be willing to give it a shot.

My style. Obviously. And would you want roads and junk?

Don't accept anything below about 250-300dpi for print. Trust me you will be able to see the difference.

That will do, then.
Stargate, your style is fine, just try to keep an idea of the Xiluh tone in mind. I don't want roads. :)
Yes, I've read Xiluh...

Oh, right... sorry, that slipped my mind. I kinda feel a little like an ass, now...
Don't, I'm hte idiot who volunteered to map a setting I haven't read.
