Title: Private Messages
Post by: Matt Larkin (author) on September 22, 2009, 10:44:10 AM
I am not able to send PMs to FREAKIN' AWESOME HORSE. If I send them they don't appear in my sent box and he has said in the past he hasn't received them. I don't know if this is related to the apostrophe or all caps in his user name.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure why it's not working. On a related note though, I'm unfortunately going to have to pull out of the consultant partnership - I'm almost always busy with school and don't get a chance to contribute. It was fun and I enjoyed reading Eschaton more and also getting more questions and comments on my own setting, but it seems physics is taking over my life :(

Sorry to hear that Horse.

I suppose it becomes less important to get PMs working then, but I'd still like to know what the problem is with it.

Yeah. But I think I actually changed it to something simpler for a while and still couldn't get IMs.

I have nothing to contribute on the private message problem, unfortunately.

However, Phoenix! If this leaves you partnerless, and you still want to consult, I would be happy to volunteer. Crystalstar is probably not nearly as filled-in as Eschaton, but it is more developed now than it was when you started this, so I feel like it will at least be something worth reading now.

Sounds like an input-scrubbing apostrophe fail (try removing the apostrophe in your nick).

Sure. I was entertained by Crystalstar when I read a bit a few months back.

I'll start looking again soon ;)

Sounds like I need a CS consultant badge now!

@Eladris, I don't know if that was a joke, 'cause it sounds like an ridiculous name, but I thought it might be the apostrophe.
