Title: Contacting Wizards
Post by: LD on October 22, 2009, 02:02:00 PM
Hi. Perhaps one of you fellows could help me out with something here.

I'm trying to contact Wizards of the Coast to ask them to alter something on their website.

I cannot however find any way to get in contact with them.

Their Email complaint form doesn't work on either of my computers or on IE or Firefox. I have different antivirus programs on both.

Their customer service line won't let me talk to a real person unless I have a product "order number" I called 18003246496 and there is no operator option. I also decided to give a try talking to RPGA reps, but called 2 and neither were at their desks.

Does anyone here know if there is a webmaster email address or something?

Thanks.

Unfortunately you have to go through Customer Service...

You could try the back door with the D&D Podcast's email (dndfeedback@wizards.com)

What specifically are you looking to have them change?

Hi Ish, I'd rather not say here, but if telling you may lead to better advice I might be willing to explain on a PM.

EE- thanks for the tip. I'll give that a try.

The change you want made makes a big difference.

For example, if its something along the lines of, "change that code so your site actually works on my computer," you'll have to go through customer service.

If its more like, "change that content to something that doesn't grossly insult my race and/or religion," you should contact Hasbro corporate headquarters.

Or if it's something like, "change your messageboard permissions so terrorists are no longer using your forums to exchange blueprints for nuclear weapons," you'll need to contact law enforcement immediately.

Thank you again. What you say makes sense Meepo. I sent the email. If I do not get a response next week, I'll return to the strategy of calling random people.

The ironic thing about that is the part of the site that does not work for me is their customer service page. http://wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wizards.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php?p_prods= and http://wizards.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wizards.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=I-T-9eLj (click the email us tab) it does not work at all.
