Why would anyone want to remake such an excellent movie.

And who is Raven Symone.

And who stole my question marks. People, I need answers.

ive been wondering the same thing, since most remakes are of already great movies.

raven symones resume:

the cosby show
rap album (while in kindergarten)
both doctor doolttle movies (the daughter)
dinsey channel show, 'thats so raven'

im currently holding your question marks hostage. i demand a ransom of the secret to developing such wonderful settings. here is a picture of them to prove im serious:

Wow... this is a waste of time.  I thought someone got hit by a car or something.  Instead, you're complaining about a decent actress (from everything I've seen about her) getting cast in a good movie.

:dots:

I'm not exactly sure how this is a problem...

(As an aside, we need a simley holding a question mark smiely...)

Adventures in Babysitting (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092513/)

Raven Symone (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0712368/)

I love the IMDB.

oops..... didnt stop to think this might end up as being a case of "boy who cried wolf"; my bad judgement, sorry.

crit- raven symone is an actress who got her start on the cosby show. shes since been in a few movies (if youve seen either of the 'doctor doolittle' movies with eddy murphy, she played the daughter), and even got her own show on the disney channel. her success seems to be due more to her kid-friendly cute appearance then her talent, which is, IMHO, typical of most stars of disney channel shows.

'adventures in babysitting' was a classic teen movie from the 80s, somewhere along the lines of movies like 'weird science' and 'ferris beullers day off'. the star was elizabeth shue (typical strong, independant, but eye-tanntalizing female lead).

limetom:

aside from symones..... lackluster acting, she has never really looked anything like the role she is trying to fill. on top of that, she has gained a lot of weight, pushing her even further from the look needed.

edit- LC beat me to it.

How could you do such a thing, you monster.

You haven't hurt them, have you.

What do I have to do to get them back.

i havent hurt any of them..... yet. but if i do not recieve the secret to creating settings with the same quality as jade stage, i will slowly straighten them, one by one, until all thats left is exclaimation marks.

My point is, she's never really got any serious acting gigs, and I think she at least deserves a chance.

Right now, its not only like saying "4E is coming!  The end is nigh!" but also, "4E is coming!  The end is nigh!  Its going to nerf Clerics!"

limetom, you and i can agree to disagree on whether or not she has enough talent.

edit- this section of this post has been deleted due to the realization that its an argument based on the assumption that she doesnt have the acting talent.

it would seem as if she was picked simply for the name appeal, towards the 6-13 year old audience.
