When I join a new (to me) message board, I like to give a formal hello, so this is that.
I stumbled on your webpage after I saw it in a signature on the WoTC boards. I have been trying to get my homebrew fleshed out for just a while now, but i've never been able to polish my ideas the way I would, so have scrapped it a few times.
Hopefully I can end that cycle, using you guys here to bounce ideas off and add constructive ideas to my own. From what I've seen, this board is the opposite of the WoTC boards. Here, you get honest ideas about how you can make stuff better, and are told what people like about your ideas. At the WoTC boards, it seems that everyone just wants to tell you why your world sucks, without adding anything constructive (regardless of the tone).
So, to end my rambling.. Hello to you Campaign Builder's Guild. :hail1:
P.S. I clicked the "Show Smileys" button... i thought my screen exploded. And it did, in a shower of smileys. I shall have to make ridiculous amounts of posts... all the smileys must be used.
Well, in response to your welcome, welcome! It's good to know you like it here, and I hope your stay here is both productive and enjoyable.
P.S. I'm the one who found most of the smileys, as I rarely get tired of saying. I'm glad you enjoy them so much.
Welcome claypigeon!
:morons:
Be warned I am the only sane one here. :)
Welcome to the Guild! I would suggest posting a map of your campaign under Map Showcase, a lot of us have been and there you can get help from others (like myself) if needed. Also, posting a discussion for your campaign helps a lot uder the Design section, and then post your "polished" CS unde homebrews. Can't wait for your contributions.

As do I, and i believe it will be. You've got a friendly environment here, by the looks of it.

You remain the only sane one here. :D

I don't have a presentable map yet. And my scanner hates me. And/or it's broken. I'm not entirely sure which it is actually. It could just be that it's smarter than I am, and refuses to cooperate with a lesser being. I planned to post fleshed out bit when I finish them. I hate wasting time (mine and others') on ideas that are half thought out. I would rather put up something that is at least fleshed out to some extent.

or, at least, the only one that claims to be sane
Welcome, and please make yourself at home! Be sure to check the Rogue's Gallery thread if you want to introduce yourself and your work in detail, in a thread that will definitely stick around (or read about what some of the rest of us are up to.)
We try to be a supportive community and really help each other polish up our ideas. So don't be bashful about posting your setting ideas, and I'm sure plenty of people will be glad to bandy some ideas about.
Frankly, I'm impressed with your chutzpah. We were just talking about how a lot of people join and seldom (or never) post anything, so it's good to see the way you've jumped right in.
Don't forget the Tavern on the main page, if you just want to shoot the breeze. It's a good way to get to know people here.
P.S. There's really only one smiley that you need to know. The king of all smilies: :cloud9:

Nope it is this one: :morons: <-- That is what it looks like inside my head. :)

Death to unbelievers! I mean... uh... Hello.
I look forward to seeing your works and I thought I'd drop my general use disclaimer:
I am critical and sometimes harsh. It is my opinion that honesty and criticism are the two most important things to the creative process. If you dislike criticism (always constructive, but not always nice) please say so now and I'll keep my head out of your works. :)
I prefer honest criticism. Saying "I like it, but it needs more work." does nothing if you dont actually like it. Saying "It's okay, but needs to be refined/polished before it is ready. Also, you might try X, Y, and Z."
Harsh isn't so bad, as long at it has purpose. Being overly so can be too much. In such cases, I reserve the right...nay, the duty, of calling you a meanie toilet mouth.

That right will be lean and buff with the amount you will be exercising it.

Welcome pigeon of tightly compacted mud and dirt. I hope to see you around a lot... and if I don't.... well, then, we'll just discuss that later

Ooh... sounds like a threat, ever so innocently veiled in friendly banter. We shall see sly one. Indeed!
Muwhahahahaha (that's an evil laugh, btw.)
Hi, I'm ElDo.
