In case everyone was wondering where I vanished to, St. Louis was struck with a series of extremely violent storms in the past two days, leaving either .5 or a full million people without power. I am among the powerless (surpize suprise) and therefore lack the ability to do ANYTHING, which is driving me nuts. I'll be on for a bit from the library comp, but it could be a couple of (or even several) days before power is restored.
You are just not meant to have internet access.
Wow, that does suck... Anyway, thanks for telling those of us who were worried. I mean, you signing off aol is an obvious sign of trouble.
Get your power back soon dude, we, er... I at least miss you. :P
@ Pos: I have come to the concusion that the internet hates me. So, like any non-whipped man, I will continue to leave the internet voice mails and hope the internet will call me back for another date.
@Crit: I miss y'all too. I'm in major CBG withdrawl, it's maddening.
Then it will just think you are clingy and want to stay away even longer. Send roses and possibly chocolates.
Well when you do get back I expect a big update on Pirates (and knowing you 4 new settings).
PS Don't you find it funny all your internet woes began around the time you were made a mod... :)
They should've picked me... I told 'em I did, I told 'em... Yes my precious, we'll be a mod someday, precioussss... Hm? No! How dare you accuse us of sabotaging his mod career!? We would never do anything like that, right precioussss?
[/sarcasm]
Ah, the Intarwubs is a fickle mistress (and she never returns my calls!)
Best of luck with your current difficulties, and with not collapsing into a jellied heap due to extreme CBG withdrawal.
@Pos: I tried that. She never replied to those, either.
Actually, about 5 so far, and counting. I do have new pirates material, as well as stuff for Sooth and Datrik (I remembered!)...the hard part will be getting me to take what I have from my notebook to my computer!
And my internet woes began when I became Mod because I also became mod not long after I left campus, meaning I no longer had nice, reliable, internet. And my woes didn't really begin when I became Mod - it was more when school ended. >.<
@crit: I know you aren't behind my internet woes. I trust you completely. *gets out some elvin rope* this will make a really great necklace, you can trust me.
@LC: She's a bitch like that.

the internet is allergic to roses, didnt you know? peonies would be a better choice.
Xathan, you seem to have a lot of work piling up because of this....
so the internet, jealous as it may be, decided to take down all his minion-- i mean, friends..... down along with him?

You have no idea. In addition to my work for here, I also have two other projects that require computer access....and no way of getting at my files to work on stuff saved on my home computer. >.<
After the hurricanes that past through last year, generators became peoples new best friends. That could explain all the homeless dogs... hmmm...
Well, better you than me! :P Seriously though, come back soon! I need to brutally force you to produce homebrew content for my settings! Huzzah!

the hamsters and gerbils, i presume, were already taken?
and xathan, take your time with the stuff youre working on for me. no big hurries here :)
@Pos Generators might be something people here in STL invest in, seeing as this is the second year in a row we've had massive, city-wide blackouts.
@Crit: I'll get back as soon as I can, don't worry.
@Sdrag: Thanks, that's a load off my mind. :D you have no idea how difficult the table for that type of thing is to code...and by difficult, I just mean mind numbingly time consuming. :P
At least your lack of service isn't due to the fact that the megahuge Time Warner Cable doesn't give two flips about whether or not their shit-ass modems work as long as you're regularly sending checks...

After going through Katrina last year I completely sympathize with your situation.
Violent storms don't just suck, they blow.

Yes.
yeah, this storm made me even gladder than I already was that I don't live anywhere near a hurricane zone.
