PbP games here on the CBG have a history of complete and utter failure. I'm not trying to take the wind out of your sails, rain on your parade, or whatever other defeatist metaphors you enjoy... but it's true.

Let's have LC break this chain then. Gogo LC *becomes a cheerleader, temporarily*

That was part of the rationale for the project. I'm dimly aware of PBP's shaky history on these forums, and I thought that a great way to "break the seal" on a good PBP game would be with a game that's a.) finite (so it ends, rather than just tapering off and dying), b.) primarily social (so that characters have some tasty interactions that don't necessarily involve a battlefield), and c.) competitive (so that players can square off against each other even when the Narrator is unavailable due to being at work or whatever).

We'll see (eventually) how it all goes. For now, though, real life is intruding and I am forced to postpone all my funnest plans. Le sigh.
I move quick: I'm gonna try my trick one last time--

all online style games had a complete failure rate at one point, at least long term.  Didn't stop us from going on and trying another IRC game or so...

That the same rules designed to reduce the role of the GM and to empower the player also destroyed the autonomy to create a consistent setting. And more importantly, these rules reduce the Roleplaying component of what is supposed to be a \'Fantasy Roleplaying game\' to something else\"-Vreeg
