What's new on the CBG lately?

No contest this month. Nobody entered last month's.

However, Seraphine_Harmonium, better late than never, does have a thread showcasing Fashions of Cad Goleor.

We have forum games. Oh yes. In addition to Polycarp's long-running Republic Reborn, there is Steerpike's Underdeep, and we also have Raelifin's City of the Chosen, set in a mysterious city full of people from various times and places, and Humabout's Mnemosyne, taking place on a dying alien planet with scarce resources. (If you like this sort of thing, also chime in your opinion on this poll )

We still do have settings, too! (Maybe people should post more settings so I can add more links...)

Chaomesh also has a setting for a modern game, called... *drumroll* A Modern Game.

Xeviat has just come back here from the WotC boards. (Unsurprisingly, it's better here)

How do you feel about minmaxing, metagaming, and other words that are sometimes dirty words to RPGers? There's a thread for that, too!

In their defense the lack of a contest this month has less to do with any failure on the part of the membership and more to do with me starting an internship + more college courses + still working my job. If anyone wants to run an "unofficial official" monthly contest they have my support.

Well, it doesn't seem like it would be TOO hard for one of us to set that up.  Just write the prompt, and copy the rules, making any necessary tweaks?  I do remember that we talked about what the March contest might be.
