Xev's system: How do these energy mechanics sound? (and some HP ideas)

I could totally see having a Combat stat that just covers all combat-related stuff, including hitting, defending, damage, etc.  Just lump it all together.  You could have a Knowing Stuff stat for all the mental yumminess, and probably a Social Stat for all your manipulative stuff and social influence/resources.  That pretty much covers everything an adventurer does - kill stuff, know what to take, and sell it for too much to some sucker they conned back in town.  You could also have a Magic Stat for Killin' Stuff magically, too.

Seeing Strength conflated with coordination just bugs the bejesus out of me.  It's archaic silliness that needs to just go away.  At least rename it something else (like Asura's Power) so we can kill this meme.  Again, it depends on what level of detail is desired.  More detail requires more complicated rules.  Less detail makes it much simpler.  Either can have a whole heap of Awesome! but that distinction needs to be made.
