Hello all. It's great to get another guide out. What does everyone think?  :yumm: [note]While criticism is usually the mainstay here, please make sure, for this thread, that the creator is looking for criticism before going into too much detail. :) [/note]

I assume you mean individual authors?  If that's the case, I can take anything you guys can dish out.  Let me know what you think of my article, any improvements that can be made, and any ways I can make it shiner.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.

Great editorial, Rael!  I must admit, I somehow missed that when I was proofreading the Guide for you over the last couple days.

Thank you, I'm particularly interested in the reaction to that.

And yes, by creators I was referring to the authors of the articles/fiction, the art (Ms. Cox) or the layout (Me). I'm thick-skinned, so I don't mind people critiquing my work, but I'm just remembering a certain reaction to unwanted criticism which lost us a valuable member.

I quite agree that the editorial is amazing. I had never really thought of world-building as a "new art" -- that's a very unique thought on the subject and one that I wholeheartedly agree with.  At the moment, the only critique I would have there is that I disagree with the title being underlined.  Articles should not be underlined, only books. I'm okay with the credits sections being underlined, but not the editorial title.  I'm not a fan of the fact that Editorial is in parentheses - I would like it to be in the right hand corner in smaller font.  We can guess that it's the editorial because it's being written by the editor, and if the person can't it's still on the page.  In parentheses like that it feels too blatant.  My final formatting critiques (I love the content) lie with the conclusion -- "thank you" should have a comma after it rather than a period and I would drop the dash in front of your name and try and either scan in a signature or, at least, put it in italics.

Those are my thoughts thus far.  But that's the only page I've looked at.

Raelifin

Thanks for the feedback. I'll remember those points for issue 7.

SDragon

My only real complaint is a number of typos throughout the issue, although they're not major ones, from what I see (missing apostrophe in "don't", doubled letters, etc.). Interestingly enough, I don't think any of the fictional names in my article were misspelled, despite how forgiving they would have been.....

sdragon, most of these article are C&Ped from the original source I believe, and we do our best to catch mistakes, but we don't have an actual editorial staff.  Basically, Rael sent it to me and said, "I think it's ready, look over it." I did that, caught a few things here and there, but I'm no professional.  Hopefully in the future, we have more people helping out with some of the crunch aspects of the Guide.  I'm glad that's your only complaint though, seems as though for the most part, people are liking this issue.  Makes me proud to be a part of it.

I read over all the articles, but I have mild dyslexia and was never a good speller in the first place. I'll try harder next time. :)
