The uslesss fact here is a corralative one.  If Liz Danforth does the art for your rulebook, the odds are not good for the continued survival of that system.

(great fantasy artist.  Not saying anything bad about her work, I'm just saying...)

What about Tunnels & Trolls?  I believe she ahs artwork in the copy of their rulebook that I have and Flying Buffalo and T&T are still something of a going concern.  I could be entirely wrong, though.

If you wish to know the full range of talent regarding character sketches, pull two D&D sourcebooks out at random. You'll probably get a decent scope.

Actually, just pull one:  The Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting.  Some art looks professional and absolutely gorgeous, while other looks like it was drawn by a blind-folded moose.  With the shakes.
