Dying of the Light - George R. R. Martin 9 (Phoenix)

Not as mesmerizing as SoIaF, but still a great read.

Also, fun fact, the origin of the word githyanki.

So I just read that Eoin Colfer is supposed to write a sixth Hitchhiker book to continue the "trilogy" after Adams's death.

I was surprised, even though Adams had talked about doing another. But I've never read Colfer, so I'll reserve judgment.

There was a note somewhere in the book Salmon of Doubt to the effect that the novel fragment contained therein under the title Salmon of Doubt that Douglas Adams was considering reworking it as the sixth Hitchhiker book rather than the third Dirk Gently book, soemthing about how he felt the jokes felt more like Hitchhiker jokes than Dirk Gently jokes.

So, I wonder if Colfer's book will have anything to do with rhinos or The Carpenters.

Ringworld a 0? On a scale of 1-10, 1 being unreadable, 0 must be really bad!

And here I kind of liked it.

I really really disliked Ringworld.
