I am a big fan of Podcasts ever since the Official D&D Podcast turned me onto the medium. I now subscribe to over 60 podcasts and that got me thinking - Do other campaign builders listen to Podcasts and if so, which?

Personally I listen to more than 60 podcasts. Most fall into 4 categories - Nerd Hobbies (40k, D&D, Magic, WoW), Politics/News, TV Show-centric and History/Culture.

Nerd Hobbies:
- 40k Radio (hr)
- 40k Warcasting
- Blizzcast
- D&D Podcast (hr)
- d6 Generation (hr)
- Games Workshop Podcast
- Green Ronin Podcast
- Imperial Vox Cast
- Magic The Gathering Podcast
- Mana Pool
- Order 66 Podcast (hr)
- Podhammer (hr)
- The Instance (hr)
- The Warbanner
- WAAAGHcast
- World's End Radio (hr)

Politics/News
- Chris Evans Breakfast
- Friday Night Comedy Podcast (hr)
- Global News
- Newshour
- Newspod
- NPR Talk of the Nation
- NPR Science Friday (hr)
- Number 10 Podcast
- PRI's The World
- Thinking Aloud
- World Have Your Say

TV Show-Centric
- The Doctor Who Podcast (hr)
- Gundamn (hr)
- Make it So
- Potter Cast
- YuGiOh The Abridged Series (hr)
- Star Trek Podcast

History
- BBC History Magazine (hr)
- English Heritage (hr)
- History of Britain
- History of Rome (hr)
- History of Scotland
- Norman Centuries
- Podictionary
- Rennaisance English History
- Talk About English

Other
- Extra Life Radio (hr)
- Extra Life TV
- Webcomics Weekly (HR)

These aren't all of the podcasts I listen to but it's a fair majority. Obviously not all podcasts are as good as others, especially when it comes to the TV show Podcasts (I've heard some truly horrible podcasts related to Star Trek...) With that in mind, I added an '(hr)' next to some podcasts, those are ones I highly recommend.

At any rate these are some of the Podcasts I listen to, what are some of your's?

Just a couple of music ones for me:

-Allez-Allez
-GTC ("Get The Curse")
-Resident Adviser podcast
-The Official Streetlight DJs podcast

All are electronic music, and all offer mixes that run from a little over half an hour, to an hour and a half.  Tons of free music.

I should really find some other podcasts.  Linguists, at least, prefer to blog it seems (though this is probably due to a generational gap).

Hibou

My roommate listened to Smodcast. I caught some of that and would probably listen more if I had highspeed here.

Superfluous Crow

I don't I've actually ever listened to a podcast... Doesn't seem to be much room left for listening intensely to things like that sadly.

Would I be wrong in calling them downloadable radio shows?
Currently...
Writing: Broken Verge v. 207
Reading: the Black Sea: a History by Charles King
Watching: Farscape and Arrested Development

Kindling

Nothing regularly, but I've enjoyed Yog-Sothoth.com's game podcasts, and Writing Excuses is alright.

The best way to listen to Podcasts is to have them on as background noise while you're surfing the net or painting models, etc.

That is what Podcasts are, though most cover vastly more interesting topics, lol.

You're saying the radio doesn't cover interesting topics? Interesting.

Radio, generally, covers three topics - Shows about News, Opinion shows about News and music.

Podcasts discuss topics that are more dear to my nerd heart such as Video Games, 40k, D&D, etc.
