Yes, the cities of the pictures is a great freakin idea... somehow it really made the world seem more real. I think the names of the gods are fine, and simple easy-to-say names associated with a reasonable title is the way to go. As far as details... well portfolio is sort of important, but if one thinks of the real world... what's Gods portfolio? He's got the holy balls to go around saying he's the ONLY god, so you'd think he'd have everything... alot of gods seem to be going that route around here... trying to take the whole pie. So maybe a little portfolio is the way to go, especially if you going for an old polytheistic feel. I mean, I beleive that's why people had more than one god back in the old days, simply because just about every aspect of life had a god backing it up. Someone to pray to before battle, before harvest, etc.

Xeviat

Dag, do you intend on continuing this setting? I really like the idea of you and Ish working on the same world, just different parts; it could really cause the world to develop in an interesting direction. It also seems that you've deleted a lot of info that was up on this page ... will you repost it?

Heh, Xeviat, the funny thing is, that's not what we were doing ;)  I started work on that campaign originally, and then I completely changed what I was doing, so dag (my brother) took my old campaign notes and expanded them into his own setting, which we're currently  playing in :)  But on the other hand, I would love to collaborate with a couple people on some setting ideas sometime... not as a whole community project, but as a "small-group" project.

For finite types, like human beings, getting the mind around the concept of infinity is tough going.  Apparently, the same is true for cows.
