Are we just talking about our most powerful, or our most beloved?  I've played numerous characters that have progressed far into epic levels, but they are far from my favourite characters.  My current fave is only level three at the moment.

i would just like to know who has the strongest.

im not going to even bother posting mine as your character is a much higher level.
On a side note i was wondering at what level a character becomes unplayable.

In my opinion the level where a character becomes unplayable is about level 30. The epic rules present several creatures that could challenge PCs beyond that, but it just gets repetitive and the gameplay really, really changes. Currently, the highest level NPC in Vilydunn is 35, in Aath it's 36, and Sundown it's 42. I have never had a PC that progressed past its starting level (all of the games I've played in never really got off the ground...).

Wow! I think the highest level PC I've ever had was level 24, and I've been playing this game for roughly two decades. Frankly the current epic level rules are just such complete trash, I wouldn't even want to play (as a DM or a player) past level 20.

I prefer games around levels 8-12 personally. That's when I have the most fun running things, and when most of my PC concepts fully materialize.

I can't compete with level 40 characters...

Agreed.
I think our '81-'83 games saw some over twenty PCs, but things always seem ho-hum there, so a new campaign at first was always more exciting.
My Nordica campaign has epic capability, but no play yet at that level.

Last Thursday my beloved character Déagol Gagelea (a halfling rogue/cleric) gained enough XP to reach (character) level 8, which is the highest I have ever reached. It looks like this campaign will keep going for a while: level 12 or higher might very well be reached. So far, I'm very much liking the transition to the mid-levels.

"Then shall the last battle be gathered on the fields of Valinor. In that day Tulkas shall strive with Melko, and on his right shall stand Fionwe and on his left Turin Turambar, son of Hurin, Conqueror of Fate; and it shall be the black sword of Turin that deals unto Melko his death and final end; and so shall the Children of Hurin and all men be avenged." - J.R.R. Meh, in our epic game of godly proportions we started at level 60 and never progressed beyond...

I played a level 96 human fighter once. He took alot of toughness feats. He wasn't much fun either.

I haven't actualy played characters long enough to actualy pick a favorite, but I have a concept character that I'm just dying to use. A wicked, blood-thirsty, heavily armored, sheild bashing, flail swinging, goblin gibbing, dragon taxiderming, anatomicaly well endowed albino woman out to make the world a better place one cracked skull at a time.

well i agree on the playing past lvel 20 to an extent after that it becomes a lot of work for the dm but it just depends on how hard a dm is willing to work i dont find it that hard compared to how fun it can actually be but the one thing that is agrivating is waiting so long to level up

and personnally on a note i would rather have a good campaighn with something besides fighting and leveling up as fast as possible

some of my dms just seem to throw monsters at random for me to fight and i would just rather have a good story
