UR Religion Design

The vast gulfs of inhospitable land coupled with the varying historical records from city to city have made the religion of the Unconquered Realm nearly as diverse as the people. I can of course spend the time and just put these myriad religions together myself. But I feel that defeats part of the purpose of being in a game design community. Besides stories are so much more interesting when they take ideas from beyond just one persons head. Furthermore I have had some people interested.

So without further ado I present to you an offer. An offer to be able to create your own religion for the setting. Because of the openness of UR there is almost no limit to what you can do in terms of your religion. There is stuff that I would like to tell you about but I could go on and on forever with that. So instead I will catch anything as I see it and answer questions and point out any conflicts I see (feel free to point out any conflicts you notice). The only things I will tell you up front is that UR is human based. Even a religion that scorns humanity or worships animals should still in the end reflect back to humans (as they are after all the only known practitioners). Furthermore it is gritty with common but low powered magic the norm (the servant fixing the bed or the priest curing a cut... merlin slinging fireballs is generally the stuff of legend). Beyond that go wild, ask me any questions you need answered to make things work. Even if you don't have a religion, ideas on posted religions and UR religion in general are welcome.

Further on I may post some religions of my own in here. For now though, its open to anybody who wants in, welcome aboard.

Excellent to hear your interest. And don't feel like there is pressure. UR is turning to be a quite complex thing so there will likely be lots of time to look at this. Feel free to take your time.
