Vreeg, Irvine is only a few short miles away from me. Alexius will be in the area in October as well.

Community: "Sounds great! I'd love to take up that offer!"

Seriously, though, although it would be cool to meet a CBGian, and although it would be cool to have free tickets to Disney, I don't think those two alone would be enough to persuade me to go across the country. I do have a friend who lives about a hundred miles from Disney, but by the time I'd be able to visit her, she'll be living in Canada. Also, she's stated that she would have to be on strong drugs before I could get her to go to Disney, even with free tickets.

Honestly, as far as my own chances of meeting a fellow CBGian go, I think I'd be much more likely meeting somebody that already lives relatively locally, IE in northern New England (as far south as Boston).

Yes, I live outside of Boston, and kill PC's as far north as Porstmouth, NH, sometimes.  I also still once in a blue moon take a whoe gaming group up to Lake Sebago, in Maine.

I don't think he was asking anyone to come all the way there just for him.  I think it was more if anyone happened to be from around there or was going to be in the area anyway.  Same for my offer.  In fact, if someone did plan to make the drive just to meet someone from the CBG, it would probably just be awkward.

If anybody is up in Canadaland, Calgary specifically, feel free to give me a shout.

By the way, here's a guide for making one of those funky maps. I'll try to work on it over the next few days, but am likely to forget.
One of these days I'll actually get organized enough to post some details on my setting / system.
