Elder Scrolls Oblivion?

What I really like is all the oblivion mods there are. It's awesome what you can get for it (one guy modded kvatch back in as rebuilt).

What I hated about Oblivion was that Cyrodil was twice as big as Vvardenfel but both areas possessed roughly the same number of NPCs. For a land that has been occupied by 2 great civilizations and is the heart of a continent spanning Empire, I felt it was grossly underpopulated and, by inference, uncultivated.

Most of Oblivion's major problems (boring scenery, underpopulated, less complex stories than Morrowind) were redeemed for me by the Shivering Isles - much better than Cyrodil, a way cooler and more exotic setting, greater population density, etc.  Auto-leveling and such are obviously still present, but they worry me less; in fact, the first time I played through the Shivering Isles I was doing so with a level 40 something character whose spells and items made him essentially invincible (nearly 100% damage absorption and major elemental resistances) and I still enjoyed it immensely.  My only beef with Shivering Isles is that the music is unchanged; I made a playlist of Danny Elfman tracks and played that instead, turning off the regular music.

Morrowind was good, but only with both expansions and a heaping helping of mods.

Of course.. the same goes for Oblivion as well.

In my opinion they're about equal.

Meh, Morrowind is perfectly playable with both expansions (all three for 20 bucks, pretty good deal), Better bodies, and a decent texture pack.

Amazing game. Makes me want to get back into it (still haven't finished Bloodmoon, damnit).
